I understand that you're new to the role, but why must you pick a complicated champion?
Had a match where one of my teammates says he wants to try out and learn ADC since he's new, and I don't mind & preferred to Support for him. But what's more surprising is that, our new ADC trainer picks
out of all ADC champions.
During the game, it is deemed impossible to support him, as he's very clunky with the champion he's using. He does not know how to AA-move-AA-move (which I can understand), his skillshot from his Q is weirdly off, and his map awareness is way below 0 (even after we took note of the enemy jungler thanks to my wards). Need I remind you that this new guy is a Platinum, and I didn't think even the basics of LoL, such as landing skillshots & map awareness, were absent in this guy.
To anyone who wants to try mastering a new role, I recommend that you should try out simple champions in the beginning to help improve your basics of certain lanes. Doesn't matter if the champion is weak in the role, the most important fact is that you should try to adjust your map awareness & the enemy's aggro which varies in certain lanes. I'll give you a few examples of it:
#Top

Not:

#Jungle
Pick:
Not:
(Graves because I highly doubt that he knows how to keep monsters off from him & his low potential of ganking)
#Mid
Pick:
Not:

#ADC

#Support
Pick:
Not:
(And basically any other champions who does not have a Support tag on them, such as
)
