Why am I not having fun anymore

Over the last few months I've really stopped playing league like I did a few seasons back. I was playing yesterday and sure, I like the new Yorick and Kled is an interesting addition to the game but I'm just not enjoying the game. This isn't about having a bad game, having less than par teammates, strange balance, or any personal issues with design. I've played since the end of season 2, I've been through almost all the gauntlets that Riot has thrown at the game but I just can't enjoy league like I used to.

There's like 40 some new champs since when I started, whole ton of new skins, lots of kit reworks, lots of visual reworks, neato new abilities, new game modes, free skins nowadays. Lots of things I've wanted have been continuously filled over the last few years. Even now the last of the forgotten champs are being reworked and the remnants of the era of boatfeet and dodge are almost gone. The game really now has its own style and presence.

I'll probably make a custom game to play by myself whenever a rework or new champion comes out, but I don't enjoy league to play like I did.

Its called growing up...getting older or just simply outgrowing it. People just out grow stuff. You can still love stuff and still outgrow it. I used to draw a lot in school. Id like to think im very good. But then one day I just stopped and now its been years since last time i drew anything. i still get urges from time to time..even still have all my art stuff and desk...but I dont use them. I see all the fan creations on here and think..."thats pretty cool" but its still not enough to get me motivated enough to get back into it.

EDIT: I might of used the wrong wording. When i said growing up....i didnt mean to make it seem like playing this game or any game is just for yourger people. I just mean that sometimes what 1st brings you joy can sometimes just fade away without no reasonable meaning as to why.

thank you for sharing with us in the first place, also i don't think you just out grew league.. personnaly i thing you are bored and annoyed by the fact that the game you used to like and love is not the same at all anymore which don't give you the same fun feelings you had when playing it back in the days, well at least this is how i feel about the current state of the game its so changed compared to what it was in 2009-2010 that i simply don't have fun with the game anymore because its not the same game they just made way too much stuff without justification but money.

I think this is something that is very understandable, after all it means you played this game for years and you tend to be satisfied for all what it has to offer after a while.

Think about it. years. Few years ago something like this would have been unthinkable save for stuff like World of Warcraft.

I don' t suggest you to thrash LoL completely ( i mean do it if you really want ) but go out looking for other things, life is full of opportunities and experiences and you should not stay attached to a single one, even if it is something you really like. Think about all the different games you did not play, for example!
