This should be an instant suspension

Ok. I have heard a lot lately that bad players should kill themselves. How on Earth can you tell someone to do that? First of all, its against the law to say that to someone. Second, its just a game. Sure its fun to win and losing sucks, but should someone kill themselves over this? NO! Taking someone's life is not something to joke around with. Riot. Please hear my cries.

I am 99% sure that if you encourage someone to kill themselves, and they follow through with it, you can be charged with Manslaughter, but I am Canadian, so what do I know?

In what location is it against the law to tell someone that, as bad as it may be I never heard of it being a law not to say it

I'm pretty damn sure that anyone who would even consider putting an end to their own lives because a teammate or enemy flamed them have far worse problems to deal with.

People with the right mind understand that. If someone has such serious problems that would even think about killing themselves they shouldn't even be playing a competitive game that guarantees a certain amount of people will say something bad. We all say things we don't mean when we get angry. Hell, they shouldn't even be browsing the internet for that matter. They should be under strict medication, support and observation instead of constantly exposing themselves to what can hurt them.

TL:DR I don't see your point.

I have a collection of screenshots of three different instances where a user added me as a friend on LoL, to continue to tell me to kill myself and how worthless I was.

I have sent individual tickets for each of these players. I don't care what they say to me, but what if they say this to someone else that actually cares what people think? What if they act on it? It's not going to be tolerated.

I'm facepalming at all the people in this thread talking like it's okay to tell someone to kill themselves just because they won't actually do it. That's not the point. You see that "Harassment: Verbal Abuse" option on the report window? That's there for a reason, and I can't think of any more psychologically damaing way to verbally abuse someone then to tell them they're literally worthless and that they should just remove themselves from the planet.

If you've ever told someone to kill themselves, seriously or not, especially if they're a stranger... yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing you suspended from this game. Hell, banned even. Good riddance.

I've never heard it was a law not to tell somebody to kill themselves... but either way, it is a horrible thing, and yes I think it should be at least a continuously long ban. Like, first offense = 1 hour second = 1 days third = 1 week fourth = 1 month fifth = 1 year sixth = suspension

Honestly, after a year, one month, one week, a day, and an hour, I'd assume they'd give up on their account. But still, suspension just in case.

Some people think it is against the law to say "kill yourself". Bringing up something about a $25,000 fine as a reprocusion. That doesn't actually exist. Should it be a ban worthy offense? No, Riot is a company based in the US. Since they are based in America they need to follow it's laws. The most important law is that we the guarenteed freedom of speech. The only the that will come out of somebody saying "kill urself feg" is your ability to say "huh this guy is an idiot. He's a stranger I'm playing a video game with. I should totally stop being a ninny."

The sad reality of it is that there is no law that says it's "wrong" to do that. In fact - you could argue this is against someone's freedom of speech; but then again shrugs

Unless there is something wrong with you in the first place, you wouldn't kill yourself if someone over the internet told you so.

But yea, I guess bullying is wrong either way.

This is the internet, where suicide is made to be everyday jokes and humor where no one in their right mind would actually take seriously unless they were contemplating suicide in the first place.
