I know its wrong of me to ask but...

can Kassadin's Q shield, shield him from more magic damage?

I know it sounds selfish but it shouldn't hurt now that all he can do is safely poke. But, against other assassins, like Ahri, who can throw out a lot of magic damage.

Kassadin's Q is not a skill shot, so you risk more of being a target the closer you are. Kassadin also has many draw-backs, such as a E that takes 6 spell casts to use, and a R that goes up to 800 mana cost per use.

If I could have a shield that shields 60/90/120/150/180 damage, then I'd be a lot happier.

I could now withstand Ahri's Q which sends (if hit twice) 80/130/180/230/280 (+70% AP) damage. –30% because of passive, so still 40% AP.

And I could withstand Nidalee's Q which sends from 50/75/100/125/150 (+40% AP) to 150/225/300/375/450 (+120% AP). –15% so it would be a bonus from 25% AP to 105% AP. —_— But, I'd still only take at most 90 damage to 270 damage.
