Riots support wasn't very supportive
Hey guys, I get that these are pretty much dime-a-dozen down vote sob stories, but I just want to vent about how frustrated a customer I am right now.
Like, the other day, I had logged on line to send a friend a skin as a gift - I sent him Dragon Rider Tristana. Had to search for his name (I can never find it on the list), and send it to him. And to my dismay, he never got the skin. I checked my purchase history and the very first person on my friends list received it instead. "Alright, I've got the RP" I thought, so I bought it for him again, and this time he did receive it.
So I send in a support ticket about the issue. I'll paraphrase to keep it short, but... Immediately, Riot's response was "it's your fault, sorry. We're not fixing it or refunding it." When I told them that's an unacceptable response, they again stuck their foot in the ground, saying "It's your fault, sorry. You can feel free to report that as a bug if you'd like."
Like, it's not like I'm a chronic seeker of this stuff. I don't think it's necessary to mention this, but I've spent a couple of thousands of dollars on this game, I average about 2.3 skins per champion, and I send out random skins to friends on an almost literal weekly basis. The hell Riot. I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not gonna be one of those dramatic types that says I won't purchase any more skins, but I have a mighty sour taste in my mouth from this experience. Especially because I know for a fact that I made sure I was sending it to the right friend.
