Before I say anything, I think about how the other person's gonna take it. When my jungler engages when my marksman and I don't have any health or mana and gets mad because we didn't follow up, my first instinct is to say "Perhaps if you weren't a moron and actually looked at the lane's situation before you smashed your skull into it, you would have realized that it was a suicidal fight and we don't wanna feed with you." But, if I say that, most people I run into aren't gonna say "Oh yeah, you're right. I'm an idiot. I'll pay attention next time," especially since they're already mad. So, instead I say "Sorry Rek, I didn't dodge well and they poked us down before you got here. I should have pinged for you to not engage. My bad =(" even if I did ping. Once they stop being mad about dying they'll think about what I said and realize that they actually made a mistake, so my point got across. And I didn't have to be mean about it and start a fight. Fighting with your team is basically feeding through chat.
