Questions about borderlands 2. If you have played it, take a look!

I think im going to buy borderlands 2. it looks like fun. i want a game that is like skyrim, you know. Open landscape where you can explore and do side quest and interact with npc:s and collect rare items and get money. Not just to get to point A to B. Not like a call of duty campain where you just do the story line and thats it. Riot please dont get angry for this post, league is better and it will always be. I have 2 questions:

Is it like skyrim? Not the medival theme. Is it like I described it in the beginning?
Does it have Co-op?
What would you rate it 1-10?
Is any other game in the borderlands series better?

It's open world but it's got a lot of instances, yeah it's got co-op up to 4 players I believe, I'd rate it a 9, I haven't played the first one but from what I've heard it just establishes the setting, the pre sequel goes into character development for the villain of the second game, but yeah Ist worth it, the characters including the villain are just so great and it has a lot of funny stuff in it

I haven't played that far into it, but it's pretty fun from what I've played so far. Sometimes deciding what weapons you want to keep can be a hassle, though.

I'd suggest that you get the Game of the Year version if you can find it. It comes with all the DLC on a second disc, so you get two extra playable characters and four extra campaigns for free.
