Do people who play this game truly think that through enough play , practice and study of league that they can go from a non pro to a pro ? Also do you think that is the only factors that separate the millions of players in league to the pros they watch in the LCS,LKC etc? Or just like any other professional "sport" its more then hard work ? That natural talent has to be there in order for them to make as a pro ?

You have to be from South Korea.

Only then may you have the chance to win Worlds.

It's all play and practice BUT an IQ of over 200 helps. So talent counts. [slayer-jinx-catface]

P.S. While I don't play 14 hours a day like the pros I put in quite a lot of time but am nowhere near their level (barely a diamond) because my IQ is not high enough :S
Big part of league is about quick (but correct) reaction and predictions.

The intelligence of the player counts for a lot there as every game is different and you can't just practice it out for decision making.

Having deep game knowledge or experience makes reaching decisions faster but like I said you need to be able to think fast and not just have the knowledge to reach the correct conclusion** because if that conclusion comes 1 second too late you can end up feeding instead of winning.**

It's like every time you die and analyze the fight then see 1 thing you could have done better in order to make an escape or get a kill.

Well, the pros manage to analyze that information during the 6 sec fight and not in the 6 sec after they are dead.

In other words, LCS players are Velkoz IRL and analyze stuff quickly and efficiently.

I started as the lowest of the low. And then, through years of practice, years of the pain of defeat, I steadily climbed the ladder. One day, I found myself at the the top. Facing an All plat team.

And then I got stomped hard, because it was a plat team practicing in normals (I don't play ranked).

My talent in League is negative, if possible.

Talent is what comes naturally, Skill is what is developed from hours and hours of training. Thats the first difference

For people who are serious about Pro playing years and years without actual training is pointless, If you think that just by playing ranked and reaching plat or diamond is how you get into pros thats wrong.

The 2nd difference, is if you are serious about pro, then those same years you spent getting to plat or diamond you are actually training, that means every game you are memorizing timers, know how to path and cs, what to do in certain scenarios, How to function in a different teams, how to truly use a champ even little tricks like wall jumping etc

In other words the people who are just playing to play, ranking up means nothing and if youre doing it for fun its fine get to diamond for a challenge sure whatever. Those who are playing to Improve themselves and are aware of everything they are doing, why they are doing it and what changes could work will be the ones to reach pro<

that simple

also this was an actual reply need to include some troll

Whats something you put in your mouth but dont swallo?

Natural talent. There are some players with no experience in MOBA games who get to masters the first season they join, there are players who have been here since beta who still have never reached gold.

do you touch your mouse with hopes of victory? or do you learn how to get victory through suffering and rage?

When making muffins, do you use one egg or two?

There is a truly competitive mindset you have to have. An almost desperate desire for self-growth.

To anyone that's actually competed the difference between individuals with and without that trait is quite obvious.

Keep in mind that when I say 'competed', I mean actually facing other seriously competitive individuals with a strong desire to win...not just participating in a competition without thinking you have a realistic shot at beating the rest of the crowd.

I'll take 4 Alex. "Get a real job with real security and something I can be proud of, maybe pass on to my grand kids".

The dictionary definition of "Professional" means you're getting paid for what you do

I could be a pro football player but suck at the game
