Why Personally League of Legends will take a backseat to Overwatch

I've been a dedicated LOL player since open beta. I love the game and still do to this day. Yet there are some extreme annoyances within the ranking system that has moved me to Overwatch for my competitive gaming experience. I am sick and tired of having my personal play judged solely on whether my team of random players wins or loses. I've been stuck in Bronze and Silver for the extent of my League lifetime. With the exception of a very brief time in low gold. However, I know that my game play is well above most of those I am paired with. Yet I cannot move out of these lower levels because personal performance has little direct influence on your rank. I end the vast majority of my games with at least an A grade and achieve S grades very often with my mains. Yet because of other players poor situational awareness achieving the type of necessary winning percent has proved unattainable. I feel this is because I'm not an aggressive player. I am a smart and aware player but not overly aggressive. Therefore even though I typically have the statistical advantage over any single or even duo of opponents. I seldom achieve the type of numbers that allow one to solo carry games consistently. Nor do I play champions that tend to achieve those types of advantages because I don't enjoy them. Long story short, League of Legends, in my opinion, needs to stop basing rank on wins or losses. This is a team game but you are holding back individuals because you are so fixated on the "teams". These are not "teams" they are a bunch of random players put together. A mixed bag. Therefore, if I were to continue playing League to a large extent as I used to. I want a system that rewards or punishes my personal performance at an equal level as the team overall. For example. If I statistically played very well in a game but the team overall lost. I want that reflected in my LP. If I get an S during a loss then I should still lose LP but it should be weighted to my personal statistics. So instead of losing 20 LP I should lose 5 LP. If I win a game but performed poorly and the team as a whole carried me. I should get slightly lower LP then the other team members.

You may agree, you may disagree. It doesn't really matter now because this IS the only incentive that would bring me back to League at a consistent level. Playing a 45 minute game of league well but losing because a couple numb nuts decide to try and Duo baron and get it stolen is soul crushing for those of us who want to play league competitively. Not just for fun. I'm tired of wasting so much time just to be punished for the incompetence of others.

Overwatch's competitive system isn't yet out. It may be similar in favoring teams over individual performance. Yet the one thing that makes this type of system bearable is that I only have to deal with incompetent teams for 5-10 minutes. I don't have to spend the length of a dinner date with them.

Agree or disagree with my conclusion. I feel far more rewarded for my personal performance in Overwatch than I do in League. For that reason alone I plan on Overwatch being my go to game and LOL will be taking a back seat.

Agreed 200% I feel like League has been beaten like a dead horse for way too long, I only play it when game modes come out.
