If there is an afk/troll for 10+ minutes, verdict should be "loss prevented"

It's not a real loss if there is an afk or a troll on your team. When there is, the outcome of the game is based on strength, not skill. For afk's, it's been a pain because our adc is always left by them self and usually ends up 'feeding'(I don't blame them at all). I suggest a warning for those who are not purposely being afk. For trolls, they either feed or go Teemo jungle and saying "vayne you little shit!"(I've experienced this on my team). The punishment for trolls should be a minimum of 7-day ban, or longer if recurring.

Note: this is not a rage post. It is to state that some losses are technically not losses.

Thanks for reading.

but how would they decide what is a legitimate reason. i mean i highly doubt they would see someone quitting league, someone pulling their ethernet cable, turning off their power as a means to abuse the system into thinking they didnt leave the game purposely. there is a reason why something like this hasnt been implemented yet and its because almost every decision could lead to being abused and basically getting either free LP, or not losing any type of LP.

it is a real loss cause you lost simularly people could make the arguement that they should get loss prevented if they dont give up but the rest of thier team does. playing certain champions in unorthodox roles isnt trolling but most people arnt secure or skill full enough to adapt.

Man I am starting to feel even older now... so many of these threads pop up over and over again.

I know that trolling especially is hard in LOW MMR's but at the moment there is not much can be done about it. If Riot reduces the tolerance for AFK people will bitch about how they "discriminate" against lower quality interents. IF they increase action rates on "reported trolls" people will QQ on threads and complain they are being banned unfairly.

The best way to avoid trolls is to know when to play, and not to play.

  1. Don't play late night if you care about winning
  2. Mon-Fri: Play on West Coast time: East Coasterners are epix trolls either duo to bad internet or because they are just a troll race of Americans. Don't play ranked until after 18:00 Pacific Time at least.
  3. Saturday/Sunday Daytime is your best bet; evening/night on weekends can be a bit spotty especially Saturday due to Netflix nuking many people's QoS (too many people using internet displaces lower tier customers)

This would only maybe work if it did not prevent the loss for people that queued with the afker

Nope. Ranked systems are designed to be zero-sum which means that the LP in roughly equals the LP out. If that is NOT the case, then the system gradually inflates and everyone ends up in diamond over time.

Loss Prevented is the one case where the current system is NOT zero-sum, and is ONLY used when Riot is responsible for the outcome of the game. This has to remain the case because otherwise it will be responsible for a lot of inflation, as it is it is only a minor bleep and only when Riot screws up. If Loss Prevented becomes something PLAYERS can control(by leaving a game) it completely destroys the integrity of the ranked system.

"If there is an afk/troll for 10+ minutes, verdict should be "loss prevented" "

This would be abused on a regular basis. No way that this should happen.
