Why do people bring up Match History/Rank?

Just got done having a heated discussion with a teammate after the game was over. She claimed that I looked like I was inting (Defended our base against 4 people) while our Jhin wasn't (ran right down midlane into 5 enemies). I was already infuriated because if the Jhin had actually tried we could have came back. Had multiple chances to. Now this lux was telling me I was the bad player. I'll admit I let my temper get the better than me, because there's nothing I hate more than being talked down to. As we're having this argument, the Lux brings up some of my match history (I had some bad games recently). She also brings up that I'm Bronze 5. Why do people do this? You weren't in those games, so you have no idea what happened in those games for them to go so bad (she brought up an 0/7 Cho'Gath game in which literally their mid and jg constantly came top. It was my fault for not playing more passive, but still...) You also have no idea why the person you're talking down to is in bronze to begin with. Hell, YOU'RE in the same division seeing as you just played with that person, so why are you talking trash like "stay bronze kid" when you yourself are bronze. It's infuriating that they bring up something that is completely irrelevant to the current argument. We all have bad games. It happens to the best of us. It doesn't make you a better player for bringing someone else's past mistakes up. Anyways, let me know what you guys think. Do you hate people who do this? Are you one of those people?

Because they have no other argument and would rather attack the person to try to feel superior.

People do it after a game when they're being giant idiots.

So what if you're Bronze 5? Riot must think they're as bad as you if they got put on your team. They really can't argue against that, all they can do is spout off what you did wrong and what they did right while ignoring what you did right and they did wrong.

The big thing is to look at what you can do to improve for next game. Getting into the habit of checking the mini-map more often can be challenging, but it'll help immensely for realizing where enemies are and when you might be in trouble.
