Played my first game a week ago, instantly had my entire team ask if my mother enjoyed gangbangs and having abortions, immediately uninstalled. Surprisingly more friendly than the people I meet while doing solo queue on here...

but anyways Dota 2 is a fun game but unlike what most say the game isn't harder then league id put it as on par with League Denying is a fantastic rewarding mechanic,it reduces the EXP they get and the they won't get the gold from it There are quite a few heroes and for those who don't know why ice frog won't make new heroes for the game is because Dota 2 still doesn't have the complete set of heroes from the original warcraft version,we're still waiting on pit lord I love the Items in Dota 2 not only are they freaking expensive cough blood thorn cough but the passives are cool and the actives are very impactful in most cases Fun ways to abuse the game,from AOE double shots from Drow range to one shot hits from a 6 battle fury PA or radiance pudge aghanims life stealer combo the Meta is always fucked up NEW ENGINE All heroes available from start also never forget the arcade modes Clear counters to other heroes or items for example pick Pugna>Sky wrath or pick Lich>Meepo Pick huskar against heavy magic damage
CONS: -a community that makes tyler1 look like a good guy -Game balance more fragile then league -Patches come slow however big -Right now,new engine blah blah blah causes the game to be very buggy right after every patch but its normally hotfixed in a few days -Cyka Blyat
I like Dota 2 more than LoL, but all of my friends play league.
It just feels too slow paced compared to league for me. It's less forgiving. Like how last hitting is way more important (and supports have way less gold), you lose your gold on death, you can't recall (unless you buy a tp scroll and use the long cooldown), and most importantly (to me) mana costs are way higher and mana items/mana regen is much lower.
I just feel like you can cast way more spells in league and I find that to be more fun.
I have never played Dota2. So I'm not going to claim anything without an arguement to back it up. I consider Dota2 a good game, because it has a respectable playerbase for a reason.
Too stale. Very few champions require actually mechanical skills. Mostly comes to orb walking. Most abilities are point and click (especially CC abilities). Too many unfair items like BKB , Shadow Blade, Ghost Scepter. Only few mages scale and those that do are mostly marksman mages like Silencer or Outworld Devourer. Denying mechanic is stupid. In lol if enemy champion counters u and dont let u farm, u at least get full XP from minions killed. In Dota he can stop u not only getting gold, but leveling too. Support role is in shitty place, no support items, u will always be very low level, all your gold will go on wards, u will be sacrificial lamb and there is no satisfaction in supporting. Losing gold when u die is another silly mechanic, if opponent gets a bit ahead, its over. THere is no way u can make a comeback. U wanna get 3200 gold Eaglehorn (or however is called in Dota 2)? No way. Never. U gonna walk with 5 Wrath Bands entire game. You dont like Annie engaging with FLash on you every 6 mins? Well u didnt see Earthshaker with Kelens and Refreshers orb. Ya think Teemo shrooms are issue? Wait till u meet Techies.
Another thing is that Dota casual plays is completely different from its professional play.
