spectate mode coming back?

i don't think it was a very popular feature, which is most likely why it's gone, but has riot said anything about bringing that spectator mode back to the new client? i thought it was fun watching higher elo games(even ARAMS) just so you could see how to play champs and stuff. i wish they'd at least consider bringing it back :/
