What's your relax strategy for the 2015 season?
In honor of the new 2015 season and the inevitable frustrations that happen during this time, I'd love for everyone to give a shout out to what they do to relax and specifically not have a rage-equivelent of an anurism when someone dc's, another lane does poorly or someone's mutual respect is even worse.
Me personally I do one of two things:
Wash dishes
The hot water and sense of productivity I get when cleaning dishes (our dishwasher is complete crap) is very relaxing and I get the added bonus of putting a dent into my roommates' messes! I can get a good amount done and come back to another league game refreshed and ready to win.
Meditate
Yeah yeah, I bet some of you are very skeptical about someone actually 'meditating' when in actuality they're really just taking a nap. But give it a good amount of practice and I swear you will be able to have some serious benefits, like lower blood pressure, better focus and an easy way too kill time if you happen to have a nice place to sit outside (I'm on a college campus so that's a common opportunity). Of course it does take some practice before you can do it reliably, if you fall asleep instead don't feel bad that's how most people usually start.
Here's a nice website to help you out: http://www.calm.com/. Yeah you may feel a bit silly having a guided meditation at first but give it a chance and give it an actual effort, you may surprise yourself.
So what other strats are there to keep yourself calm, collected and focused? If you don't have any, well you may want to check out the suggestions above and below, because while a ranked league game will always be stressful, if you can stay focused and calm I guarantee you'll better in the game and feel better overall.
