I've been playing LoL for about 4 years now but im still silver 5 I've been trying to improve for forever but i cant seem to get any better and i lose most of my games. I've gotten rid of the toxic attitude so thats not the reason. I have watched so many guides but none of them helped me. I also watch a lot of LoL Challenger Streamers. Plz help me break down the skill cap wall thats in my way.

well some would say your bad cuz you are silver 5 but considering 70% of players are bronze and silver, silver 5 is average. so that being said stop trying to be "good" and be "master" and have fun, enjoy the game. only 2% of players are diamond 5 or higher. and only .5% of players are pro. the most of us are just the average player.

Thats odd. Ive only been playing for 3 months and im already gold. Maybe you are trying too many different champs. If you look at my history (Not this account), youd see I only play one champ (Jayce). The only time ill play a different champ is when he is banned/picked. Sticking to one champ helped me a lot more than switching constantly. The way I win tho, is I gank my team mates so they win lanes. I help them take mid tower at 10 minutes in game, I teleport bottom to get them a double kill, and yeah, just the same stuff every game. Try using fast champs, like Quinn, she is insanely good if you want to get out of elo hell. Build full movement speed items on her, and you will get every lane winning, very easy. My guess is youre just not ganking enough, possibly have the mindset that you're supposed to carry if youre going to win. The moment I decided to let my team carry me, is when I realized i was winning a lot more games.

Also dont look up guides lol, make builds that work well for you. For me, I do something nobody else does on Jayce. I build Full Crit/Damage/ArmorPen. Everybody makes fun of the build, then they get 3 shotted from my basic attacks and they see how annoying it is. Typical Jayce builds would be Manamune, youmuus, Last Whisper, etc.

I may not be too great, but here are some important points:

Vision: Even if you aren't a support, learning to ward smartly and often is extremely important.

Roaming: If your lane is doing well and you get a few takedowns, go help a lane that isn't doing very good. If you are losing lane, ask for roams and games.

Wave Control: Always look up your lane matchup before you go into a game. If you have a bad matchup on yoiur end, let the enemy remain near your tower, making ganks easy. If you have a strong matchup on your end, don't feel like your minions have to be at the enemy tower. Using your abilities to waveclear is not a necessity for many situations. Just auto attack to last hit if you don't need to push.

Flexible Builds: Don't just build whatever you usually build in every game. Build things reflexive to the enemy champions. For example, if for some reason you are a tank going against a mage in lane you should build magic resist items suck as Mercury Treads early game. Depending on their team comp, you may have to sell and replace some early game items to fight their team and not just their laner.

Ping Missing In Actions: If you don't see the enemy laner when you should be able to see them, ping missing in action. It could save another laner if your opponent is roaming.

Dodge if they pick Fizz: You won't win.

Be a Role Model: Build a positive atmosphere in chat. A good rule for typing in your team chat is to always act like you're Lux. If they do something good, congratulate them. If they make a mistake, politely give them advice. Whether people recognize it or not, player ability and mood are heavily tied. Happy players will believe more in their teammates, believe more in their own abilities, and not be as saddened whenever they make a mistake.

If you're a high Elo player and I gave some bad advice here on accident, please tell me.

Another important aspect of the game is keyboard/mouse layout. If you're not using "target champion only" and attack move, you're doing it wrong.
