That xeon processor isn't exactly for gaming, more for productivity like rendering 3d graphics. Why spend 2k+$ on a CPU anyways, especially when you are only willing to air cool it with an, albeit, good air cooler?

If you are going for complete overkill, Watercooling...

two 980's in SLI will outperform a titan x while maintaining a lower price point.

Is this just a theory craft for fun, or are you actually going to somehow justify using this in any way in your life?

300 dollars for a case? I would start there. Also, no need to go higher than a i7 or so. As cpu does not affect most newer games, such as league of legends. EDIT: also don't get windows 10, worse performance for gaming.

The Xeon processor is really not what you want nor need. Either go down the 4790K route with a 1150 Socket Motherboard, or get the 6700K and an LGA 1151 socket motherboard.

In fact, you're better off saving the money you'd (frankly) waste on the CPU for SLI Titan Xs.

And why get such a cheap cooler? If you want to future proof your computer, you should be looking to make sure your computer lasts - and that means cooling. Look at the Noctua NH-D15 if you want Air Cooling, otherwise look into reputable Water Cooling (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-cpu-coolers,4181-2.html). I personally have a lot of trust in Corsair and their PC Components.

From a quick glance at your proposed build, it's seems you have a lot more dollars than sense.

My computer cost me a mere $3500 AUD ($2500 USD) and I won't need to upgrade anything for a few years at which point I'll get whatever the best current OC CPU there is at the time, whatever Motherboard I need to use it, and a twin pair of whatever the best GPU is.

wtf are you building this for? i looked at the updated link also. You seem to be putting things together with 0 understanding. Is this a gaming PC, server, video editor or doing CAD/maya work. you need a purpose

off the updated link you have

5900RPM drive but 0 SSD, load times will be horrible. 64 gigs of RAM but 80% of normal user use will never need that much monitors are not even high end (144 HZ) monitors weird sizes (not all the same) Which will not be useful if doing a multi monitor gaming setup. plus other things.

  1. Simulate Building this

What does this even mean.....

This seems like some kind of pipe dream build with 0 understanding of current tech. M.2/ PCI express SSDs are the new thing and plus DDR4 is going to better long term than ddr3 cause of heat/voltages. I could build a 2k build and would out preform normal use for that build.

This is a nice balance between popular products and what Brands/Products/Product Series I know and trust.

Save your money and get this beautiful beast instead of the turd you've produced.
