My 2 cents on the community and the opinion on "toxic"

I've noticed something about the community in league. I've personally always hated it, but I've hated it for several reasons. Apart from the fact that this board tends to be filled with trolls, and riot doesn't give a shit about their own boards.

It's something in-game I've noticed. Nearly "everything" is considered "toxic" to players these days. Trolls in this day and age rule everything. You literally can't do or say anything that even remotely suggests another teammate isn't god like without being considered a troll yourself, or "toxic" or god forbid my least favorite saying "salty".

There are times I like to point out problems or flaws of my teammates. Not because I'm salty, not because I'm toxic, not because i'm mad or a troll, but to help them. You don't get better by pretending you're already a great player. You don't get better by people ignoring you're weaknesses and praising only good plays or the few times you do something right. You'll never get better, you'll never get anywhere by doing that other than hampering every single team with the same mistakes.

You can argue "oh I already know" or "you don't need to tell me my faults", but honestly if you're playing ranked, then I do. If you're on my team, I have every right to tell you that you're kinda lacking on map awareness and to please look at the map more. Or if you see a group of enemies bottom a few times in the wards, and our team is going bottom, then most likely something is about to happen soon and to please get ready for it.

Even comments that are not directly pointed at my team is considered "toxic". I was just in a hexakill game, and the enemy did the elementary and basic tactic of leading us into a choke point and then face rolling the keyboard with their multiple stun ults and AOE ults. It was pretty basic for their team comp. One member said "good plays", and I merely pointed out that with their team comp it's pretty elementary and basic to do this. I was immediately branded a toxic, salty player by my entire team for a simple comment about League of legends tactics for their team comp.. Seriously?!

If you don't want to get better, then block me. I don't care. But don't call me toxic or salty because I merely point out something. If you don't want to get better then why are you playing ranked at all? My biggest question is, why is refering to a simple tactic in league considered salty and toxic towards your team? Which has happened multiple times before.

It seems like in today's league community everyone has a very narrow minded and blind view of what is toxic/nice, and being a troll.

Just because someone isn't saying you're god like and should be in the LCS doesn't mean he's toxic, salty, or being a troll. If you make multiple mistakes in ranked, expect your team to get a bit upset. They honestly have every right too, especially if you refuse to listen and cooperate to fix your mistakes.

Pro tip: Nobody is perfect, neither are you. Mistakes happen. Be a man and fess up to them. It's that simple. Fix it and move on. I'll bet you'll get twice the respect from your teammates for it, than the pissy attitudes they gave when you kept messing up. Not only will you win back the respect, but you'll grow as a better player, and help contribute to a better league community than the trash it is now by showing people there's a better way to respond in-game than the block button whenever you don't get your way, or people aren't acting like you're a god in league. Guess what? Nobody is. NOBODY
