@Riot, would it be a good idea to tell us how many accounts you ban per week/month?

Allow me to elaborate on this idea, please and thank you.

Okay so there is a company called SEGA of Japan who post about how many accounts they ban for something that is kind of a big deal for their game Phantasy Star Online 2(The big deal is Real Money Trading). Now what does posting this for the players do? This post shows the players that they are the real deal, they ban for this topic so don't do it. Sometimes players say "LOL THEY WON'T BAN US". However, with this idea it shows that these people are wrong.

Now - how could this positively affects the League of Legends community? Firstly, this could show players that Riot is serious about bans. So players will know that they risk being banned for "X". Secondly, believe it or not, there are many players who are more toxic on a daily basis because they don't think they will be banned. So this could open those toxic player's eyes and make them be less toxic. Thirdly, this could show that not all of the community players are toxic, I'm sure some people think a majority of the players are all the time when they are not, I'm pretty sure on this. Since Riot usually takes out the consistent toxic players since we all know we will slip up somewhere(Unless you're Mystic Blue Fox).

So here's my proposal for how the message should be sent out.

You post how many accounts exist on League of legends and how many have been banned for each category. Like so:

*Total bans: 97/700 Accounts (7.2% of all Accounts)

-20 Perma Banned

-77 Temp Banned

*Negative Attitude: 20/700 Accounts (2% of all Accounts)

-5 Perma Banned

-15 Temp Banned

*Leaving/Afking:

-15 Perma Banned

-62 Temp Banned

Thanks for reading, discuss.

I'm behind this idea. There's no harm in announcing bans. It will either do one of two things.

  1. It furthers the idea that Tribunal is broken (As the theory goes, "Run by the players it's suppose to punish").
    -OR-
  2. It provides proof that the Tribunal is working as intended.

I do not know what plans, if any, Riot has in store for the Tribunal, but the community is screaming for justice and reform of the banning process. Players that should be let off with warnings are getting bans left and right while the toxic players are getting off without so much as a warning. If anything, Riot please share your thoughts or tell us what you might have in store for the banning process or Tribunal. That's what I ask.

This idea is horrible. The trollbunal has not functioned properly for about 3 years plus now. Showing how many people are punished by a broken system serves little purpose as it is clear to anyone who is being punished that their actions are being dealt with. Telling the rest of the community that some random people were being punished for random things, seems irrelevant. Also you get to see the toxic behavior that people are exhibiting by merely taking part in the trollbunal process.

The prohibitive feature now is that you get to see what you were reported for and what the votes were on your case. Announcing that X people were punished in this particular month will do nothing to stop those people from being toxic. Therefore there is little point in making the announcement in the first place.
