Fix the troll problem

Ok, Riot I've been playing for 4 seasons off and on. But the troll problem is just getting completely out of hand. Why, well all the good players you dean "toxic" are getting banned or quitting because they are usually try hards that actually want to rank up (aka like me). And get reported when we get 1-2 trolls per game so we end up voicing it in chat.

Here is an idea for a system to detect int feeding. (because reporting them int feeding clearly doesn't work)

  • an easy way to do this would be to run a script to see time of death vs re-spawn time . Example: troll mid decides to int feed so he keeps running down lane and dying. death timer is 15 seconds, takes additional 15 seconds to make it back to lane, then dies in 5 seconds. If you write a script to calculate "death times" and how many times this occurs it would be very easy to label that player a "troll" and dish out punishment.

Course there are many other ways to troll but 1 step at a time would be a start.

You are not the problem, Riots horrible reporting system is and they aren't going to change it unfortunately.

I will not tell you to mute them, or report them, or to stop saying things to them so you won't get reported.

I am not like these idiots who think that this will solve all your problems.

I agree with you 100% because I experience the same things that you do, as do many of us.

Riot may not have a game to fix if they allow this crap to continue much longer.

Riot dosen't care about trolls they only care about people who get angry at them. so you get banned :D

Did you know, they recently implemented an intentional-feeder-detection system? Last I heard, it was tuned way down while they made sure everything was working properly, but it seems to be going smoothly, and they should be bringing it up to full speed soon, if they haven't already.

Did you know that Riot considers every from of griefing to be toxic behavior, and therefore punishable?

I've noticed that players who tend towards retaliatory toxicity have a habit of assuming that Riot only believes chat to be toxic. This isn't the case. Any action intended to negatively impact the other players of the game - verbal or non-verbal - is considered toxic. This includes Intentional Feeding, troll picks/builds, and various forms of griefing. One notable case I saw in the Tribunal involved a "support Trundle" player, who went out of his way to bait his team into ambushes, as well as block kills and escapes with his pillar - last I saw, he received a 2-week ban for the behavior.
