how about we stop lying about the afk problem

I believe i found a bug with the leaver buster system... something has happened that has caused it not to actually do anything...

I decided to keep score of games played within the last 2 months (win or loss does not matter) of how many games i have played with an afk (ally or enemy)..... 72.xx% of my games have had afks whether on my team or the enemys. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.. how can you with a straight face lie to us and tell us its getting better, when honestly its worse than when i started in season two. i got placed in low silver this season, and crawled up to silver 2 (attempting to get back to my previous gold tier) i dropped from silver 2 to silver 3 TWICE due to afks within the first 20 mins... clearly you guys aren't being severe enough. and the sad part is MOST of those afks are really rage quits... it's absolutely ridiculous. and instead of just banning a player, how about an IP ban to keep them from making troll accounts to afk in ranked even harder.

i understand that some people occasionally have stuff to do that requires them to leave a game, etc... and honestly i could give two shits about normal afks, for all i care you can just completely remove or leave leaverbuster to work on normal que.... but when they pour over into ranked i feel you should take MUCH more severe action (2 week ban for one afk, with a possibility of ending the ban if they can provide proof of a legitimate malfunction (disconnect, server error, or power outage) and even then only if it is not a repeat offense (internet constantly disconnecting and they joined ranked anyway etc), and even then only if they can show that they either tried or succeeded at reconnecting with the game.. i mean seriously.. i have left a few games back in the good old days... randomly needing to go somewhere and id leave... never in ranked, and never as a rage quit.. ranked is a place to test your mettle against other players of equal skill... not a church where you pray to god your team doesn't have any afks, especially after seeing fit to remove almost any snowball champ from the game. (RIP )

sometimes i wonder if riot does what dota does and put the toxic players with the other toxic players. When i see posts like these it only reinforces the ideas. I'd say i get an afk maybe once every 2 weeks, however usually it's do to connection issues and not rage quits.

Either you exaggerated that number or you just have bad luck (or people rage quit potentially because of you). In the last 3 months, I might have had an AFKer (my team or oppoent's team) in maybe 10 games...maybe. And this over 200 games.

I really doubt the 72%, I have probably 10-20 games out of the last months where there are AFKs/DCs in my games and I play alot.
