Defending Oneself

Many people like to believe that users can simply ignore trolls, mute them, report them, and go on their merry way. For some people it is not so easy. Especially those that choose League of Legends as a stress-relieving venture. I've definitely not got the most stable of mental health - though I do believe I am friendly enough, even online, without proper provocation. I was wondering what some of your thoughts were on defending yourself from trolls, flamers, death-threatening scum, and otherwise despicable beings via chat. Do you think it's vain for some people (like me) to be unable to simply mute them and move on? Pondering this because I recently got a warning for verbal abuse while trying to peace-keep and maintain the game when the whole team got called out by the ADC for how shoddy it was going. The mid-laner _intentionally _AFK'd halfway through the match, the jungler chose AD Fizz of all things, but everything was obviously my fault for losing lane to a hard counter (without ganks, I might add). So, as the team decided to take the ADC's side and blame literally everything on my poor score, resulting in many insults and personal attacks. I, feeling betrayed since I was actually trying to protect my team from this scumbag's abuse earlier, responded with likewise. Fight fire with fire, right? What do you think - do you think that Riot needs to be more lenient on those being attacked in the first place, or do you think I (and others) simply have anger management issues since we haven't reached that "I don't care" nirvana? Interested in your thoughts. :)

Don't take me wrong, I have sympathy for you wanting to defend others and yourself. But you can't just say whatever you feel like in-game, it make no difference what they say to you if you respond in a toxic way your reacting negatively and will eventually get a punishment. That is the bottom line if we like it or not.

You can make your disapproval known in a non-combative way and then you need to stop replying to the person/s in a harsh way and report after the game. Is it satisfying? Nope! It sure isn't. I personally believe that Riot should be much quicker to stop the Toxic people and get rid of them, but that is just me.

I would try to give you some advice but I don't know enough about you to even try, although I can be pretty sure others will both approve of what you do and disapprove. More or less, I approve in theory but Know you can't be rude back..it's the rules and it is unlikely to change anytime soon...I hope you figure a way to deal with this sooner rather then to late. Good Luck OP.
