Rito Gods and the Social Experiment

If you search this temple for prayer offerings regarding matchmaking, you will see flowerings of elo and mmr across the walls. However, this isn't about that. Elo and mmr are products. They are created. We don't know entirely how or from what. It is understood that skill is involved, but I assume there are many variables (as there are to skill). It is a dynamic environment. It can be difficult to isolate factors. I believe matchmaking is akin to the lifeblood or nervous system of the game. It is a social game, and we are not the only players. What social interactions and player feedback are watched? What biases exist? Is there a prisoner island somewhere in the land of elo hell? Does a prisoner island float in every elo? Could the gods smile upon or smite someone if they so chose? Could the ritos fix a game? Could a mere player defy the gods? If I complain too bitterly, "gosh I've reported someone in each of my last twenty games," do the gods frown? Do they notice when I laugh or cry? Can they divine the players I like or hate? Could they predict whether I will "play nice" with someone? What experiments lie in the making? How am I a guinea pig? Do they know how and why I use the feedback available (reporting, honor, etc)? I don't know how they use my feedback. I certainly wouldn't trust feedback or rather I don't know in what way I would trust it. What larger societal questions can rito answer? I am but a player. I just trudge along. I don't know if the ritos hear me, or care about only a single player, but ritos plss be benevolent and just. Be merciful. Keep the lifeblood healthy to the best of your ability. I trust in your superior data. Hail donger full of grace. imaqtpie, dyrus, faker, and all the demigods and angels plsss intercede on my behalf.

tldr what social needles you sticking me with rito?

Yes Riot is collecting Social Data in their experiments and is compiling into reports to sell to the highest bidder. There is no such thing as a Free Lunch.
