PSA: Maining a Champion DOES NOT Mean You're A God

There's this complex people in Solo Q have where if someone main's a champion they think that immediately means that person is going to do exceptionally well and/or carry the game. Maining a champion does not mean you can't have bad games. Maining a champion does not guarantee you're going to perform well. Maining a champion does not mean the player has strong game mechanics. All it means is that they know most of everything if not everything about their champion. DISCLAIMER: Knowing a champion's match ups, playstyle, builds, and mechanics also does not guarantee a good game.

We one-trick ponies are human too, meaning we are just as likely as anyone else to make mistakes. You also have to factor in that sometimes the player might be facing someone of a higher skill level than them. I have no idea how many bad games I've had where my team flames me just because I had a bad game on Twitch, or I played against someone better than me and I get flamed for losing lane.

No matter how good a player is, there is always the possibility that the player will have a bad game. Hell, we all saw the world championship this year. SKT had gone undefeated all the way to the finals, and they had that one bad game in the finals that they lost. It wasn't during worlds, but Faker even lost to Febiven and Froggen once each. Imp had bad games in group stages. LGD was predicted to go further than group stages and had so many bad games during them. Anyway, point is, no matter a player's skill level, no matter how good someone is at a champ, they'll always have a bad game.

So please, don't flame a player who mains a champion just because they had a bad game. Thank you for your time.

It dosnt even has to mean they are good. A bad player is still a bad player even with 1000 games on this single champ
