A suggestion To RIOT staff on the Topic of MMR boosting Bans.
Just posting on this subject is gonna get me a lot of hate in the comments but I need to make the suggestion regardless.
I was recently suspended for MMR Boosting for season 5 after playing over 600 games in Gold and platinum divisions. For whatever reason, justified or not, i received a ban AFTER receiving awards for placing where I ended up season 5. All my rewards were taken away as you well know. I'm not going to contest the ban here. But what i will say is that I think it would be really nice if you banned me immediately after I'm flagged instead of waiting months later after I got my awards to break my heart. Its been so long i don't even remember the offense that I've been punished for. Honestly, i think a simple ranked games restriction would suffice since the offense is only aimed towards ranked games.
And please get a customer service department. You guys are great with automated messages, i think using those in combination with a help phone line would be very effective. If that is inefficient or too costly, as i expect is the reason it doesn't exist, a simple type-chat system similar to the one used by apple would be fantastic. Going back and forth with a representative via email is extremely frustrating. Especially since each response takes up to a week to happen.
Oh and the runes system needs a rework. I don't understand how you expect new players to be anywhere close to successful in ranked game play when they have to spend ip that they would use on champions on rune pages and runes instead. Your customers want to spend money on the great artistic content that you guys make for us, not on vital functionality that makes ranked game possible. If you don't think this is a valid point, try playing adc in a platinum level game w/o adc runes. It's a nightmare. I would say just give us 2-3 more rune pages free so that we have the freedom to actually fill roles in lobby. I already bought a rune page bundle on my main just to be viable once in ranked play. I can't stomach telling other players to do it.
