So... How Does TB MMR Work?

How does the Team Builder matchmaking work? It seems I can try a champ out for the first time and get mirror matched against someone who's way higher ranked and has close to 100 ranked games with the same champion... Is there really a separate MMR and does the matchmaking really adjust to your experience with a champion? Or does it not take into account if you have played the champ outside of Team Builder? There are games where it is all high ranked players battling it out with their main champions, but there are also games where some people aren't even level 30 yet. :S Just seems so random.

A lot of that I'm not sure about, but I can say with certainty that it does not take into account games you've played with that champion/role outside of Teambuilder.

Ranked and Normal have completely separate MMRs.

AFAIK all the Normal queues (Blind Pick, Draft, Team Builder) share an MMR, but the role- and champion-specific adjustments only consider games played in Team Builder.
