Lack of nesting bothers me, so I'm moving things around a bit, here. Sorry if that's problematic.

whoops. i was referring to the support role in-game. like Thresh.
That would make my initial statement more than a little nonsensical.
Well, like i said, the robot isn't hard to fool.
I'm not so sure about that.
i can only assume you simply don't believe me at this point. I'm not repeating myself.
I believe that some non-zero number of your reports are truly false. I believe that some non-zero number of your reports are truly valid.
I also believe, however, that what you deem "punishable" and what Riot deems "punishable" differ rather strongly.
if anyone in this thread got banned for how they addressed me I'd call bullshit.
That one guy /did/ infer that i was crazy, so i see no misinterpretation of intent besides that one post aimed at another fellow that was accidentally not formatted as a reply. if we're being so lax with the term abuse that it's left to interpretation we, again, have an issue. If the word is goign to be watered down to mean "generally unpleasant maybe, kinda, it hurt my feelings i guess" then it's no longer abuse.
Imply, not infer. And he wasn't implying insanity - he was implying behavior disturbing to others.
Also, why are you so stuck on this whole "verbal abuse" thing? I have no idea where it came from in the first place.
none of them are valid, save the time i got my balls nailed to the wall. I'd love to protest them individually based on context, but i can't.
See, that's the thing I have a hard time believing - though I suppose it's certainly possible.
It's just that... false reports really aren't all that common. I mean, they do happen. It's totally a thing. But you're talking about getting near-constant false reports.
And if you're getting reported that often, there's got to be something you're doing that's bothering the absolute shit out of people. I won't pretend to know what, or why, but if there weren't something bothering these people about your behavior, the level of false reporting you're talking about would require a hell of a lot of organization.
yup. though ive seen a ton of chat-logs on the forums that would imply the line between negative and constructively is extremely fucking skewed and grey, with any questionable cases being tagged as negative.
Few things are as black and white as we would wish.
Though I haven't seen any judgment calls that I thought were truly questionable.
I saw four people be unquestionably toxic get away with nothing, so i'll have to disagree with that. else i wouldn't be here.
As I've said repeatedly, all that means is that no case was built for them yet.
It doesn't mean their behavior is acceptable.
It doesn't mean that the system will ignore that behavior once it has a chance to see it.
It ONLY means that the system hasn't actually seen it, because there hasn't been a case. Yet.
doesn't change that 99% of the reports are baseless. either you don't believe me and I'm wasting my time, or you're repeating yourself for redundancy's sake. either you think I'm full of shit, in which case why are we talking? or you think I'm delusional and am quite toxic.
You've created a false dichotomy, here. It's true enough that I don't believe that you receive constant false reports - but I do believe that you believe that. And it's true enough that I'm repeating myself, but it's not a matter of intentional redundancy, so much as my own inability to simplify the concept further.
I don't think you're full of shit. Nor do I think you're delusional. I do, however, think you're mistaken. And there's quite a lot of difference between having a misconception and having delusions.
The only proof i can give you that they are baseless is that ive never had any action taken agaist my account depsite getting pop-ups from auto reports atleast three times a week, usually once a day. That, and the fact that i have multiple cases where i got a verbal abuse pop-up after a game with an immediate /mute all. in multiple of those cases i got jungle and had to ping for ganks, so refusing to communicate isn't valid. again, none of that goes anywhere if you just think I'm lying so whatever.
The thing I'm trying to point out is that it doesn't matter what you were reported for. Some hypotheticals:
If you were intentionally feeding, and you were reported for verbal abuse, that's still a valid report.
If you were using offensive language, and you were reported for verbal abuse, that's still a valid report.
If you demonstrated a negative attitude, and you were reported for offensive language, that's still a valid report.
Also, I'm not sure if you're aware, but muting others doesn't prevent them from seeing your own chat - it only prevents you from seeing theirs.
That's completely besides the point, I'm just saying i don't use words that arbitrarily gets a worse reaction. I don't say fag, i say bitch tits.
Which is still punishable - albeit not as immediately.
They have told me they don't get logs for any report, validated or no, that didn't get a case. so convinently they have a log of me loosing my fucking mind the one time i snapped, but not of the however many 'validated' reports that lead up to that case. I'd actually LOVE to know how many cases my account has triggered that i was found innocent, or whatever.
They do have logs for each game in that case, however. With rare few exceptions, all cases require more than one reported game to be built.
I have said this time, and time, and time, and time again. And if I'm not mistaken, a lot of the times i was talking with you.
Nope. Not with me.
I got no /valid/ warnings. warning implies you did something wrong. all i got was the constant feedback of "your account has recently been reported." warning would imply that either the pop-up was the result of a valid report, or a ban/chat restriction worthy case was lowered or waved and i was given a warning.
A warning - to me - would imply that you were informed that something you did was meaningfully bothersome to someone else, and that you should be aware and watch your behavior.
In that sense, the pop-ups are exactly that.
What did happen, however, is I got a constant stream of feedback informing me my account was reported until i lost my shit one time and instantly got banned, chat restriction, and had my account threatend wiht perma ban.
Perhaps you should not have ignored that feedback?
Any slack the system has built in was srtipped from daily auto reporters. that's my point. but you know what? i don't fucking care. What i do care about, however, is the two fucking assholes that did nothing but personally attack me for about fiftenn minutes. I don't care how it happend, i got singled out.
Let's talk about that. Who singled you out, do you think?
