A Guide To Playing League Of Legends And Its Ilk Without Losing It

Riot doesn't care about reforming behaviour, they care only about punishing it. They don't teach you how or why League creates a situation where you find yourself losing control in fits of rage during games, they just ban you for it.

I've always been a strong believer that the design of MOBAs triggers reactions seemingly beyond your control. Here's the best part: raging is not your fault, League is responsible for that. But, you can improve and resolve your rage and other reactions and in-turn, your win rate, with these techniques.

For all of those people out there who have struggled with being toxic in games, there is hope. It just won't come from Riot (or a community that is set on blaming the individual solely for their actions).

Your theory is disproved by the fact that very few people even occasionally rage. The typical LoL player gets reported once in every 30ish games, and that's including the false reports. All this toxicity is coming from a small percentage who rage now and then, and from a tiny handful who rage on a fairly regular basis.

Uh no... its your fault for raging. League does not grab your fingers and hit the buttons. Is losing infuriating? yes it is, specially when it is because of your teammates being toxic or just trolling. That does not give you the right to be toxic or to rage. Everyone is always surprised they are banned, HOW? You knew before typing you might get banned for saying it, you know it is a possibility to get banned in this game for the very thing you are about to do and yet you still do it... Thats not League's fault, that is your fault and your lack of self-control. Seriously people need to start taking responsibility for their actions or they will never change.

I am glad this guy helped your viewpoint but he says "Heroes of the storm is the most stressful game I've played" which made me lose all interest. I am still on the side of if you let things get to you that are said on the internet you are WAY too sensitive.

And........why do some of us NEVER rage?

That's obviously not the line of logic being followed here because the whole premise of the article is how to manipulate your own actions for everyone's benefit, because your actions do matter.
