Hi all,

I was hoping someone could possible help me or give me some insight. For about the last week, I've had an issue with my LOL client. I'll be playing ranked, and 2-3 matches will go off just fine, then suddenly I'll be loading into a match and my client will close and I'll receive an error message stating:

"An essential game asset was not found when loading the game: (insert character name here) Please try reinstalling the game."

So basically, I miss out on that game because I Uninstall and Reinstall league. And when I come back, Leaverbuster hit's me with a punishment by putting me in a lower priority queue. So I guess my dilemma is, I'm getting put in these queue's where I now need to wait 20 mins in between games AND I'm losing LP for the game that causes me to receive this error message. I play several other games on my Comp, and have NO other issues. It is only with the league client.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what did you do to resolve it?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the problem is that one specific file(usually an image or audio file) that the game relies on has been corrupted, deleted, or was never installed properly. The reason the game works sometimes and doesn't others is because the problem is VERY SPECIFIC(like I had an issue where one of the image files associated with one of Irelia's abilities was missing) and thus only is relevent in some games.

There's no reasonable way to fix it except to reinstall. You could go through the individual files on your system with a fine toothed comb to find the missing file's name and then look online for the file and download it and insert it... but reinstalling is much less work and probably faster.
