So about the Sensitivity of the topics of Sensitivity

So I have seen more about people reacting towards the unpleaseant behaviour some summoners express. I agree this is a problem, even if it isn't one of the largest in the world, but I honestly do not get 3 things about this whole discussion.

1: People have been saying Riot HAS cracked down on it, and that blocking and reporting them actually does lead to a ban. Is this true? Or is this recent and people have not noticed it yet?

2: Why can't people just NOT say things that might be considered rude to a larger consensus? I get that people are exclaiming that people need to toughen up, but why can't the people STARTING the issue just NOT say anything in such a fashion? I understand people can be stressed and maybe have a bad game they express poorly, but surely with the cognitive capabilities of a human we can retain SOME degree of self control.

3: To the people whinning about the people whinning that they should just mute and/or ignore it: Why do you not lead by example and not stir them up more? If you honestly think they are being overly sensitive: Merely telling them they are overeacting will just cause them to act just the way you want them to stop... Unless you are a clever troll, but I digress.

On a side note, the best thing I have seen someone say in regards to it being actually helpful and appearing to be a satisfying statement for both sides was said by Jakubrus: "First, mute those people immediately.

Second, report them after the game for verbal abuse / harassment. Be sure to fill in the report with a brief explanation for Riot to read, such as "Around 25 minutes he said (verbal abuse quote) in chat to me".

Riot has given us the tools to help ourselves. So many people just flame back in chat, forums, etc, instead of simply following the above two steps. The first one protects you. The second one alerts Riot, and justice will eventually come to those people if they continue their behavior.

Also, if you see someone else getting verbally abused, tell the culprit "You are being verbally abusive. It's not helping. Please stop." then mute them (because they'll probably turn their abuse on you as well) and remember to report them after the game. Zero Tolerance starts in the community. The rest of us need to be doing our part to crack down on these people."
