"First time (insert champion here)" Needs to stop in PvP

I understand Ranked is competitive and Normals are a little bit more laid back, but for the love of god if you're planning on trying out a new champ please, please test them out in either a PvBot match or even just a custom match. I do this for literally every single champion that I buy just so I have the basic understanding for how their kit works. It's not fun when you're playing with someone who spends more time reading their abilities than actually playing the game. Please research your champion before picking them. I'm not saying you have to be an expert with these champions to play them in PvP but please at least put the effort forth to get the basic understanding for them along with basic techniques for good combos or situations. I can't even describe how truly frustrating it is when you're trying to have fun watching someone feed the hell out of the other team because they have absolutely no idea as to how to play a certain champion. Trust me, I know "practice makes perfect" but there's really no excuse not to take your new champion into a bot match. Those matches take maybe 10-15 minutes tops, and custom matches you can just leave if you get a basic feel for the champion. You may not think it, but taking the time to understand the champion before going into PvP helps a lot. 9 times out of 10 if you go into a match with a champion you have literally never used before, you're gunna have a bad time. You will feed, and you will piss off your team. You also will not gain sympathy from typing "First time ....".

TL;DR: Practice with your champions with bots before taking them to PvP, no one likes losing, no matter the competitive or casual scene. Even if it's a fairly straight forward champion, take the 5 minutes before hand to get a feel for them before taking them up against real people.

Thank you.

I fuking hate that shit. It just provokes people to be "toxic" towards them.

A lot of people I've played with will say "First time (Champion)" when it's their first time against people, though. Apart from that, I agree 100%.

If I play them in a bot game, nothing will be gained it's too easy. My first time playing champions always gets me fed, I'm a support main :D. Just tried out Graves as ADC in normals (3rd time adc) and went 15-15-10

YES. I do bot games with new champs for the first time just so I can be absolutely sure I know how their kit works.

I'm okay with losing legitimately. I'm sick of losing just because someone didn't know what they were doing.

I dunno. Usually when I see people say it, they mean it's their first time playing them against people. Even if not, I find they usually will listen to advice and stuff. It's normals. People need to chill. I'm always nice to them and it usually goes well. I've been playing for a long time so maybe I just don't care as much as some people. Lol.

Most champions are pretty easy to understand by just reading the kit off of their page, and I don't see why ANYONE would get a champion without at least looking at their kit first. I mean, I suppose gnar might be an exception, considering you need to know how to best juggle his rage meter to do well in a general sense, but other than that I really can't think of anything.

I hate when people say 'You should play bot or custom games first'. I don't know why, I just do.
