Top Lane Ahri is LEGIT
Was scrolling through Facebook and stumbled upon a league of legends post promoting a new stats website in beta, similar to lolking and opgg. Except this site gives specific stats for specific champions within different roles.
Just an out of meta role pick that requires knowledge of champions in top lane and the match ups there of, as how Ahri deals with those champions in that lane opposed to mid lane. Also giving up front line for your team in return the team gains a mage/assassin. Capable of double AP comps, like my favorite
top(me) &
mid. Similar to the old
back in S2.
Needless to say, i'm overjoyed! I have discovered i currently hold a 61% win rate on my main for Top lane. As
i would play
top but i've really liked the snowbally effect of
on her for top lane, if i get ahead. Capable of being a mage and an assassin, i always thought she would be an incredible addition to something out of meta, as far as roles are concerned. Always see mages from mid(
) and assassins (
), throughout different season being swapped between mid and top. So Ahri fits right in that category. And well, the stats don't lie! Just requires practice and match up knowledge. So i can safely say, Ahri top is legit. But i think i might be the only Top Ahri in NA, that consistently plays her in that role. Along with mid or support. I've seen her jg and adc too. But not my cup of tea.
P.S. Don't mind my score to the right of the picture, the overall win/loss rate, the loses are mostly due to super nerfed low win rate leblanc... The DFG and silence removal, To the Q-R-Q stack proc damage nerfs, to the E not rooting enemies while it returning back to leblanc if she was out of range, to the W speed changes, really hurt my scores this season. It really took me a good minute to figure her and her match ups out again. But as an avid Leblanc player, one might ask why not stop playing her, if you were losing so badly on her? My response would be, because she was capable of a lot more than what she does currently. She's a high skill cap champion and wicked fun to play(albeit scrubs thinks she's cancer). I find her a fun match for my Ahri and vice versa. So i think differently on the subject. If you truly enjoy playing a champion, you shouldn't stop playing that champion just because they got nerfed, you have to make due with what you have and make it work or at least try. Unless, of course you were just riding the flavor of the month/hype train with the rest of the meta sheep.
