Over the christmas break, I've been playing Ranked quite a bit. Before, I was in Silver II, I was okay with where I was, and I was trying hard to get to at least Gold V. I went in the completely opposite direction. Now I'm in Silver IV with 0 points, about to be demoted again, all because I get paired with people that don't know what they're fucking doing when they play the damn game. It's the most annoying thing, and even If I do good, we still lose because my team can't get their shit together. Ranked is fucking stupid.

And yet ranked streamers have proven, again and again, their ability to get Smurf accounts up to the Gold/Platinum/Diamond/Challenger tier their mains are at. So the system, while it does fluctuate slightly, does indeed work.

I.. have I read this before? I've read this before.... maybe like 1,000,000 times... Also, playing over break is when EVERYBODY is playing alot, and since MOST of the playerbase is worse than Silver 2, you're almost guaranteed to be playing with people "worse" at the game than you. Do NOT play on holidays, weekends, or early evenings. lol

Honestly advancement in bronze silver is very luck based, but if you have the skill to advance you still should progress upward over the season.

I'm gold 1 with 80 league points right now and I believe I'll be plat soon. In my ranked 5's team I will routinely have to play against a diamond in my lane, I main ADC. I can say unequivocally that ELO hell DOES exist, at least you can have REALLY terrible luck. It took me 3 months to get from silver 3 to silver 2. It took me another 3 months to get out of gold 5.

At least that's been my experience.

Just to prove my point, guess what? Got Demoted again. I can never catch a fucking break. Also, when you lose Ranked games, you lose more LP than you gain for winning Ranked games. Also: Fucking Remedial.
