Greetings from a Linux Summoner

And by greetings, I mean I almost broke my keyboard from the frustration of of attempting to get into a game.

You see, League of Legends was working perfectly this morning. I got into a game no problemo, and I even won it. I was excited to play a ranked match; I was firstpick and I got the lane and champ I wanted. Then, the loading screen didn't come.

My system had crashed. But that was normal for me. As a Linux summoner, I'm used to the crappyness that is League of Legends's halfassed attempt at running in the WINE environment. I mean, I don't blame it, why make a client for, like, four summoners?

But I digress. I rebooted my computer, ran League, logged in, reconnected, and realized how futile it was, since for some reason, it's a big no-no to reconnect to a game, you know, before it has actually started (I'm not late, everyone else is early). But that's also normal for me, being a Linux summoner, and frequently experiencing crashes. Again, that's not really the point, no one uses Linux anyway, and it's not like anyone would put the resources to make a single client for each individual distro in the big bunch of popular ones that people use.

I kept trying to reconnect to the game, when finally, the loading screen came! And it was a glorious day for me. Or, was it? No. The client Hindenburg'd, but that's fine, right? Just gotta hit that reconnect button.

65+ attempts and 4 system failures later, I flung my mouse across the room in desperation, trying to join that stupid ranked game.

Now, I know what Riot's going to say. Either a) "We're working on a client for Ubuntu, hang tight kiddo!" or b) "Well then don't play." Both are okay, because yes, I do need a new computer, don't I? and also a Ubuntu client would be very nice.

Anyway, just wanted to share this wonderful experience with y'all.

tl;dr: Linux + League of Legends = tears
