"Gang plank is dead and has been disabled" isn't that statement meta gaming which ruins the story?

To start by Meta Gaming is a terminology used where in roleplay games or story mode games they mix real life events with in game story. For example in a roleplay game where people are roleplaying a character someone turns around and says "I got to log off" seen as you're portraying a character you wouldn't mention things like that, you don't see in the movie where they feature bloopers in the actual movie scene do you? It's really cool that riot is taking the story serious and using story to disable characters but "has been disabled" maybe they should of just wrote "Gangplank has been dead therefore he can no longer be summoned" ?
