Question for Riot about being active in the community?

Hey guys, I love League but I feel like I've never been a big part of the community. I've never been a fan of ranked as I don't have a lot of time to myself to dedicate to climbing the ladder each day. I want to get into esports and visit some community events here in NA but I don't know how to get started. I look at Careers available with Riot each day but I've never seen anything I can do. I didn't have the option to go to college, though I wish I could learn to work on something I have such a passion for. I just can't figure out how to get started as the sole provider for my family at 21. I can't just run off and chase my dreams. Thanks for listening guys!

If you want something, you have to work at it. And I don't mean going to school. Especially if you're interested in E-Sports, I can think of a few options off the top of my head depending on what you want to get it... you can start writing articles and posting them places. Submit them to whoever - Riot, Curse, TeamLiquid, anyone who runs a major website devoted to the subject you're interested in. Be active on the forums - not just here, but any of the other communities as well - and be an INFORMED member of the community. That way when they see you submit articles, they'll recognize you from their community.

If you're interested in casting/analysis, post videos. Find replays from wherever you can and either make informative videos/articles analyzing them or shoutcast over them(just make sure you get permission first).

Or, if you're interested in the web aspects of it... create your own website. A domain/site is very cheap, get one and make it the best stats website around.

The key is you have to do something yourself. Make a name for yourself. Prove that you can do it... then when they're looking for someone TO do it... you'll be the logical choice.
