On respect for your fellow players

Alright, so it's no surprise that this community has some...unpleasant members. As everyone is aware, this game has more than its fair share of flamers and toxic players. I just wanted to take a moment to address something really quick.

I just played a team builder game that I'm a bit sour about where the other team, mostly premade, decided to basically just screw around. One way or another, they wiped the floor with our faces, then proceeded to start luring dragon into fighting the golems, or the raptors into baron pit, just for laughs. They followed with typical stalling behavior just to get a few more kills to rub the loss in our sorry faces Honestly, I'm not really mad about the loss. They outplayed us like nothing else, and won fair and square. That's not what gets me.

What gets me is the complete lack of respect for my entire team. That they entered the game with the intent of screwing around is something that I cannot forgive. Why? Because number one, that's what custom games are there for. Seriously. Number two, they were knowingly having some laughs at the expense of the enjoyment of others.

I admit that in the post game lobby I was a little bit (arguably a lot) verbal about my frustrations with the other team. If any of you are reading this, I apologize. But my point still stands. I am infuriated about this utter lack of respect. Just because it isn't a ranked game, which I choose not to play until I've honed my skills more, doesn't mean you shouldn't take it seriously.

So, to sum up, I just want to make a plea to everyone out there in the community. Respect your fellows. Take the game seriously no matter if it's a normal, a team builder, or a ranked, because the people around you are. And seriously, if you want to screw around, make a custom game. You'll get much the same enjoyment without compromising the experience of others.

Thank you.
