Look, Riot...

Look, Riot. I'm not going to change my behavior towards video games no matter how many times you ban me, chat restrict me, or put me in lower priority queues. Now, before the angry mob that is the League of Legends community come for me, I'd like to explain.

I am 20 years old. I have been playing video games for nearly 17 years, and on every video game I've ever enjoyed, I've raged at it. I've raged at some more than others, but the fact remains, I enjoy League of Legends. After my first (and last) two week ban back in September of 2014, I went through a period when I made an attempt to change my attitude towards this game.

It was sometime around January when I realized that I just can't change. I like your game, yes, but I don't like it enough to change who I am, and who I always have been.

Now, I should say this: I guarantee you 90% of every mean thing I've ever said has been in retaliation to provocation.

I know I deserved nearly every punishment you've given me, and that's fine.

I just want to let you know, as long as I am able to speak and see what randoms are saying, I'm going to retaliate and I won't hold back.

I was raised to stick up for myself, and let nobody push me around.

I've always been that way, and I always will be.

Did you know there's a note feature? You can rage at your teammates all you want with zero consequences. Just be like "/note WOOOW Katarina, you're such a useless piece of shit, can you stop fucking feeding?". Katarina won't see it, but it will still feel like you told her. And even better, you can go into the note file and look over all of your rage later.

Retaliation and sticking up for yourself are very much not the same thing.
