Removal of chat by defaukt

I know it's been a topic which has been covered over the years but it still seems like there is no way to disable the in-game chat via menu, by default or easily after a game starts. I've seen a vid about editing the programme file into -100 but that has not worked for me.

Anyone have a way to disable the chat without having to mute each player?

Chat's fine for those that want it. 99% of the time it adds no value for me however. It's a simple game with 3 lanes and a good ping system...I know what's going on and how I choose to react to it. I don't need someone telling me what to do.

Chat is full of spammers, angry people who think that others should play as they want them to and people with no interest in the game. It's just there to get an angry reaction for a lot of so-called players.

I've not seen a single chat (for a game) where the content was worth the time reading it. It's a team game but you don't need top be preached to in order to understand what you need to do.
