Regarding the MMR Boosting bans happening
Going to start off by saying I'm not here to defend any case (mine or anyone elses) or to attempt to prove innocence to a forum board full of people who don't care or who would not be likely to believe anyone posting something like this anyways. This is 100% just to inform people of something that I had happen to me so that they can avoid it happening to them, because its not right.
So today I got banned for "MMO Boosting" happening on my account. I'm a Gold 3 player who hasn't had their rating fluctuate outside of Silver 1 - Gold 3 for two years, and still to this day, remains in Gold 4. Now, I get what they are trying to do, and I understand that this way of auditing is likely to find more boosters than innocent players. But they really need to look at this system again.
Below is a Gyazo link to a screenshot showing the officially released definition of "MMR Boosting" which was in the body of my ban notification, along with the punishment summary:

I would assume that they've just started auditing accounts in the last month or so. The only time in this time frame that my account was logged in to off of my home network was when I LANing at my buddy's place on halloween. Half the reason I'm posting this is because I'm able to isolate that event so well. It's the only non-normal way I've logged into my account in probably 1.5 years, and I've never shared my account info ever.
I'm not here to cry about it, or to try to contact a Riot employee via the forums...I obviously have an appeal ticket open. I'm just posting this to let others in the community know that I was literally banned and stripped of all my season rewards ever earned because I took my computer to a buddy's house to have some fun, and logged onto league and played ranked at his house.
Just something to think about next time you are about to log in from somewhere that isn't your "standard network" on your account. Needless to say, I was flabbergasted when I opened the email today. Seems pretty easy to get wrongfully banned by the company we give a ton of money to these days.
