Changing Playstyle?

Hey everyone, over the last couple of months, I have noticed my play style changing. I have been playing league for almost 2 years now, and for a long stretch of that time, played Zed, Yasuo, Fizz, and Kassadin more than anything else. However, as time has progressed, I find myself picking Anivia, Lux, and Ezreal a lot more, and picking my old favorites (15 months invested into learning Zed, seen every Redmercy and Azoh video on him at least 2x) much less. Is it common to have your play style shift from balls to the wall into poke/burst? Also, since I am playing a lot more poke burst mid laners as of recently, does anyone have any recommendations on good ones to invest time in? As seen from my time with Zed, I am willing to put a lot of time into learning a single champion, as long as their kit feels rewarding for doing so. Thanks!

The champs you mained were gap closers who are strong vs poke types. Chances are, you probably played vs Poke oriented champions so much that you picked it up faster than others. It was similar for me when I started picking up Janna after playing vs her so much as Leona back in Season 3-4.

I personally like Ezreal and Lux. Ez because of his E mobility and being SS oriented the reward for landing his Q to lower the CD of your spells seems really fun, though difficult to perfect. Lux with range, CC, 100-0 squisshy late game burst combo, wave clear, but primarily because of her W being so useful in late game when closing out games.

I recommend choosing based on lore + general playstyle. Its not about willingness to invest in mastering a champ, so much as it is about having the passion to play them. That was how it was for me when I chose to master the Valkyrie of Light, Leona - does no damage if allies aren't sync'd, supporting sucked back in season 2 since it was all about ADCs and AP mids, and many other issues, but still played her because I liked her lore.
