About the new Level Up Rewards for Garena and why they are BAD for the game.

I just took a look at the new level up rewards for Garena server users. If you haven't seen them yet the are right here: http://levelup.lol.garena.com/

I really hope that the terms and conditions laid out in the Garena page are not going to apply for NA. The terms apply as follows..

Each Summoner account can only unlock each achievement once.

If you chose to upgrade the rewards, you will be receiving both the basic rewards and the premium pack.

Rewards will be automatically credited into your Summoner account after redemption.

You need to reach or exceed the specified Summoner Level before you can unlock an achievement.

You may only unlock achievements for Summoner Levels that were gained after 1st Jan 2017."

Do you see how this might cause problems?

Why is it that people creating smurfs and new players get perks that veterans don't? Smurf players are toxic to the competitive environment of the game and you are providing an incentive for people to make them! I could maybe look past this if I had access to these perks too on my current account but that isn't the case according to these terms! So new players get champs like Caitlyn, Xerath,Ziggs ,Varus , and Gnar for free just because they started after me? Even though i don't even have any those champs!? This is incredibly unfair if EVERYONE doesn't get access to the IP and champs the new players do and i really hope this isn't set in stone. :(

Still love your game Riot but man -_-

Nope I totally disagree the leveling exprience in LOL is pretty boring and dull it needed to be reworked . This definitely has to happen . Wishing Good luck for new players and better leveling exprience not a boring dull one like ours.

I find the fact that you don't like this to be somewhat appalling. Not only is it a very good idea but the fact that you are only thinking of yourself is a prime example of why the league community has so many toxic players. You need to see it from the point of view of a new player. As a new player getting champions takes forever and the gameplay is super hard due to smurfs. this being said by being able to level up faster they get keystones making a surf with a duo q partner with keystone and nobody else less of a problem. It also is much more boring as a smurf as you have so many things you used to rely on gone. So this solves the problem since the xp boosts and rewards make leveling fun and interactive in other ways than grinding until u have a keystone.

As someone who recently hit 30 i have to agree that the experience is currently dull as <bad word here>, and getting your champ pool to include the necessary counters as well as some fun champs you like is near impossible without spending lots of cash. Not only will this help new players get into the game and stay interested, I will also ąttract smurfs, which is a very good thing. Why? Because new players suck. About 80% of my games at lowest lvls I played with and against my experienced friends and it made me way better than i would be without it. Smurfs playing with newbs will make them learn a lot faster, even if it means harder ggames.

So, this is a good question, but yeah just think of all the players, who can't play the game when they start it. They have no expierence like me when i started to. And of course, there are a lot of smurfs but that's actually good. Noobs can already play cool and higher champs. We ALL know that it takes a long time until you get those. It's a nice idea and i think it is not fair, if only guys on garena servers can enjoy it. And why the fck do you care of this? It's unfair, i know, but you're not lvl10 or like this, are you? When they are bronze, you are gold. Beginners are know able to skip things like Elo hell. And smurfs are NOT TOXIC! people who think they are pros those are TOXIC. Smurfs help you to understand the game and climb up. They already deserved gold once, and know how to do. I STRONGLY DISAGREE TO YOUR QUESTION

I don't know why the league community is so upset about this level up rewards that garena is offering. I mean they were there forever, now they are called "Level up reward", previously they were called "Newbie reward". They were there since the day I joined garena which were back in s5. They were there and riot did not add them to other servers. Garena has nothing to do with Riot. They gave same ip and xp boosts, what changed is that now they added some rewards which you can buy and before they gave rp now they give chest and key and they also revamped the webpage. So chill for gods sake. You guys are not getting these stuff free like we do in SG server.

If they gave new players a requirement to get these things(play 5 games play 10 games) for people who already have it would be cool

I disagree. The whole point of having veterans is to make sure that people that join after us have a better foundation and a better overall life/experience. Especially if you want this community to grow larger and stronger. That's how lineages are made and maintained. Unless you want this game to slowly deteriorate into oblivion, i strongly suggest building a stronger foundation for newer players coming into a fully released game. Back in the beta when I first started playing, I can shrug off the poorly developed tutorial, bots, maps, etc. but new players will not like that and are less likely to put up with it. Not to mention the sheer scope and cost of getting all the available champions is drastically more daunting of a task. You will see a steady decline of younger, loyal players. I'm not saying fuck the veterans. They are important for raising the new players into smart, kind (maybe not kind, but at least decent), and able members of the community, so it's important to make them happy as well. But you must start somewhere, and shaving down some of the newbie wall is a good place to do it.

In regards to the smurfs thing. People are gonna make smurfs no matter what. People smurf because they wanna play this game without worrying about their rank. You might see a huge spike in smurfing in the following weeks once this is implemented, purely because it's new. But it'll just be a fad and the numbers will go back down to average numbers once the change is normalized. I think the more interesting question to ask is... How do you get the smurfs to help out the younger players instead of flaming or ignoring them? That's a question Riot needs to answer before implementing this because it will more positively improve the community and the perception that people, like you, have about this change.

people leveling the account are toxic rarely most smurfs that are leveling are nice and helpful to the new players, also having Ip and champs before you get to level 30 is so helpful rather than sacrifice champs for runes or vice versa this is a really helpful feature for both new and old players.
