So I bought the heartsplosion icon when it came out. and I thought it was an amazing and cool thing as lets face it, when playing teemo someone dying in a burst of love is hilarious. But sadly it doesn't work in normal games so it just feels kinda empty. Wouldn't it be cool if Riot could put the effect back in?

I would imagine that when URF comes around again they'll be functional again inside of URF as that's what the promotion was about initially anyway.
I would LOVE for those special death animation icons to be available in any game. But riot will probably add an option to turn them off for people who don't want to see them, or have terrible PC's that lag during them (why they play any game on that junker is beyond me)
But yes, riot should add an option to show these. I have the orbital laser strike one since it is hilarious killing someone with a Karthus ult, and then having this happen.
Also they should add more special kill animation icons. 3 is a bit meh.
