What is it with duo top lane now?

I dont understand this. I cant get top lane by myself in bots anymore. Now anytime i play there is always one other person that goes top with me regardless of me calling it and despite my protests saying that i got it.

To make matters worse, those same people decide to ks and prevent me from leveling and getting gold and then go in chat and be toxic by claiming im not doing anything and that i should leave. Well how the hell am i supposed to do anything when you come in and take this shit from me?

Its getting to the point where i cant even play top without getting too pissed off at whoever is with me because they refuse to leave the lane and go somewhere else. Im not saying im better than them, i use the bots to practice my champs but its hard to do that when i get people in the match that prevent me from doing what i need to do.

If you aren't ~level 20+ it's a hell of a lot more efficient to duo top than it is to jungle.

Clear speed is miserable without runes and masteries, even if you play Nunu/Yi/Olaf. Whoever goes to jungle pre20 may as well not even exist until 18 minutes into the game.

And even past 20 it's still not that great. It really helps an immeasurably large amount to have full runes and masteries when you jungle.

Besides, bots go duo top anyways, they don't jungle, so you're just going to be in a 2v2 lane instead of a 1v2 lane anyways. Having the second person there means you should be able to get 5 kills in less than 10 minutes unless you're both bad. That makes up for sharing the lane easily.

just practice in normal games? I don't think bots remotely put up a fight so i don't think it honestly helps with learning a champion, except to learn maybe all there basic moves (which i know)

When I was leveling up to 30 there was about a full month where it was non-stop duo top lanes. It will go away soon enough.
