@Riot I still feel helpless during champion select

...When there is someone who flat out states they will troll the game and feed, and actually locks in a champion with summoner abilities to go along with it. Of course its even more frustrating when this happens in ranked. It is absolutely one of the worst feelings while playing League. Do I ride it out for 20 minutes while myself and 8 other players suffer? Or should I be the martyr, and get punished by the client so that I can IMPROVE the experience of 9 other players? (Most likely the feeding player will just go into another game and do it all over again) There really is no option that is optimal. I feel like at some point after the new client arrives, this should be a priority for the experience engineers to come up with (or at least start talking with the players about) a solution. I myself don't have a solution, and I understand the consequences of just having a /remake or report feature in champ select. But I feel like this needs to be looked at at some point.

Have a good weekend everyone.

The problem with anything like this is it is not easy to justify that someone is honestly intending on trolling. It would actually open up an opportunity for 3 or 4 person parties to troll more, and boot the 4th and/or 5th party member simply by claiming that they expressed intent to troll. In order for a claim like this to have the effect you are looking for, it would need to disband the champion select before gameplay starts, therefor making it impossible for Riot to verify that they had in fact trolled. The immediate result would actually mean that absolutely zero proof would need to be submitted to even show that they had actually even claimed that they were going to troll before being disbanded.

I'm sad to say, gameplay is actually going to be required in order to have any sort of fair system. Who knows, maybe I would be wrong. It would be nice if I was because I don't want people to be able to troll either.

I honestly wish people would just grow up.

Yeah I get the same feeling when an ally picks Yasuo or Lee Sin, you know they're going to feed so if you ban it they will troll if you don't ban it they will feed.

It almost always better to just take the hit and quit the match before it starts. -3 LP and no mmr loss is much better than -15 LP (or more), an mmr drop, and an experience that will probably put you on tilt.

just gotta learn to roll with it. honestly if someone starts to troll and im in a good mood i see it as an oppurtunity to do some experimentation without any backlash or less backlash. if im in a bad mood ill just have to grudgingly dredge through the first 20 minutes trying to cater to the trolls maybe they will sense some teamwork and change their intention for the game. lol i dont take kindly to trolling but i wont condemn you for wanting to have fun while playing a game. even if it is at the teams expense. just do your best to enjoy every game you play is my advice.
