Oh I don't know where to began with volibear there are soooo many things wrong with it. It's impossible to break threw him and even if he's got 2 items not even 3 team players cN kill him and usually I wouldn't say this but, can you guys like nerf him just a tiny bit I feel like he's the best jungler role champion to win games with and not only that when he's fed 5vs5 he's the only one standing. Volibear and nautalis have something in common. Q.Q

It's in...in...INpossible. poof

Oh god. First that guy in silver V made a Zed thread and people spam it with comments, now there is a Yasuo QQ thread on the front page, but VOLIBEAR? Come on people, pick Janna and he becomes useless past the 15 minute point.

Just dont 1v1 him while he has his passive up, kite him, and thats literally all there is to it.

Volibear's weakness is his inability to get on top of anyone. His MS steroid is pretty weak and he has no other means of getting on you. Which means he needs to either flank, or have an ally start the engage.

The problem with flanking is that your team should have vision to deny it, and that you can just engage 5v4 on his team while he tries to flank. The allied engage is really strong for him, but he plays top/jungle which are typically the engage roles. That means he needs a good team comp to enjoy any level of success unless you're refusing to kite away from him.

Even with something like say a Malphite or Leona engage, Volibear can still be kited. All it takes is one ally to slow or otherwise cc him and he can't get to your squishies.

I agree that he's strong now. Maybe he needs a nerf. I'm just proposing counterplay until he gets one.

I agree with this. Volibear is simply too strong right now. His passive is giving back WAY too much health with the mastery in the Resolve Tree. Even if the nerf is as much as nerfing his 30% maximum health heal to a smaller amount (or heaven forbid make it a flat amount that scales with level). He dominates top lane because he doesn't get kited by most of the top laners there and in the jungle he just runs at you from a bush with summoner 11 and his roar. (Why does a roar even slow? A big ass bear comes running at me roaring, i'm not gonna slow down. I'm gonna pick up the pace and beat it)

Let's break down top lane, his passive means he wins most trades. Now, you COULD try to force another fight but you probably haven't recovered as much health as he has with item 2033 and his passive; this means that he can simply tear you apart with Frenzy (which he's already stacked on minions). And ALL of that is ignoring the fact that he's likely got Grasp of the Undying. But, let's say you're playing a ranged marksman like Graves, Quinn, Lucian, or Vayne. You have an advantage because you can kite him HOWEVER, if he's smart, he'll buy Distortion defense boots and just flash for the gap closer. Yes, that put's his Flash on cooldown but Voli's already a safe enough pick. At best, you manage to stay ahead in farm, but you're more than likely NOT going to stop him from getting caught up and wrecking your team. (And that's all provided he doesn't manage to sneak up on you with item 3009 from a bush.)

Now let's move into the jungle. Well this is a completely different story. Here there's just NO fighting him. He can roam into your jungle safe and carefree because he has his passive up. (PROBLEM #1) He knows that his passive is going to just give him the free trade if he finds you. Your best bet here is to have your team ready to respond the moment you find him. (This is, of course, going to cost your team CS. BAM! Volibear just impacted your entire team by being in your jungle). Then there's his frenzy, since a lot of junglers don't have any real resistance built up in the early game you can be sure that's going to spell death for them. Now if you ward your jungle and keep a hold of the Raptor and Wolf camps you can try to watch for him and take HIS jungle while he's taking yours. Just be careful of bushes. He's probably already waiting to flip you into oblivion.
