Let's play "That guy is either going to be awesome, or totally suck!"

Granrok·12/30/2014, 5:27:52 AM·6 votes·1,998 views

Simple: List the champ that when someone selects them you think "Great, he will either totally suck, or be the best player I have seen in months."

For me, It is Yi. 99% of the time they rush in and die. That last 1%? Guy is a ninja mixed with a jedi in the body of godzilla. Your turn.

Tryndamere. Whenever I see him he is either a one man army, or he's so bad that he forgets his ult half the time...

ƒæµ12/30/2014, 9:34:50 AM4 votes

Shaco You either counter jungle and gank all lanes and just 1 shot people and make your team all win lanes, or you are literally having 0 impact on the game.

You know, I was going to say Azir , but it seems to me like everyone I meet who plays him consistently is really good at him. I feel like Azir players pride themselves on being good Azirs. Same with Vayne and Velkoz.

LeeSins, in my experience, are as good as their league. I beat any of them under gold and often get beat by any above plat.

So, instead, I'll say Blitzcrank. Any Blitz's skill is immediately obvious to me on their first grab. Did they position well? Did they zone, or else try to get extra close to the enemy? If they missed, was it because the enemy saw it coming a mile away and the Blitz decided to try anyway, or because the enemy just happened to get really, really lucky on a stutter step? There are other factors, but you either fist or get fisted with Blitz players. Ain't no middle ground about it.

I Use to main as Heimerdinger and Love using him, And I'm pretty good with him even before his update.

Heimerdinger Rather Farm your Behind off and Safely Push, and Boost as AP as much as you can, and Surprise gank Bot or Top with Ult. Or Doesn't even Ward and Let Enemy Jungler have their way with him. Rengar : "Shhh, it only going to hurt for a Second"

Brenticus1212/30/2014, 9:28:00 AM3 votes

Yasuo They are either unstoppable lighting-wind samurais bent on destroying everything you love or they're extreme pushovers who are worse than ceiling fans. Darius Also another one. They're either so good you dread going to lane after the first death or they're so bad that you forget there's even a 5th person on their team.

Kazukes12/30/2014, 5:49:20 PM2 votes

Zed Either he gets fed early game and starts roaming with awsome ganks or he fails hard and come late game you have an assassin that can't even manage to kill a squishy support with his ult. They always leave the team with no form of ap siege to.

Drunk Rummate12/30/2014, 4:36:12 PM1 votes

Yasuo x 1000 I played with a yasuo last night who 1v2'd a 9 kill draven with his thresh support and got a double kill. I've also played with yasuos that go 0-20-0 and throw the game single handed.

Ahri I main this champ whenever I mid and even I surprise myself with how polarized my games are. I either land every charm and feel like a God or a miss everything and feel useless.

Azir This is my top lane AP champ whenever I can't play Riven because of a Zed mid or something. His early game is really tough due to high cooldowns, especially against bruisers and assassins. You can tell when someone is good with Azir if they get a kill at any point before you group for a teamfight. Solokills on this champ require you to seriously outplay your opponent. Most Azir's I've found will feed several kills before they get fed off of teamfights, assuming they get fed at all.

Caitlyn When people pick this champion I generally assume they have no idea how to play ADC. Caitlyn is a notorious lane bully, but it seems a lot of people don't know how to play her and just pick her because she's safe and easy. It's really sad when you see a Caitlyn laning against a tristana or vayne or something and they're equal in CS...

acepil0t12/30/2014, 4:49:09 PM1 votes

Riven tends to either get super fed early or afks after going 0/3.

FarRockBF12/30/2014, 4:50:51 PM1 votes

DrMundo . Ridiculous to kill late game and tanks all turrets for mad rush to finish line...

or feeds super early and is utterly useless.

A Corny Name12/30/2014, 5:15:46 PM1 votes

Thresh One game it's a blind hook into a quintuple flay and giving the lantern to your kata, the next it's "dude, wtf did you just do to my lantern"

junglerboy1612/30/2014, 5:38:21 PM1 votes

Poppy Every game. I cringe at first and have to say "have you ever played her before?" if they say "no," then I dodge, but if they say "yes, a lot," then I sit back for the freelo.

Nasus if they don't farm well, our whole team is screwed.

Shaco Only because if they don't know what they are doing, they usually feed really hard. Most of the time though, they know what they are doing if they are playing him.

Konidias12/30/2014, 5:42:43 PM1 votes

I'm gonna go with RekSai

They are literally either drooling babies or unstoppable gods who are nonstop ganking lanes.

Granrok12/30/2014, 7:01:59 PM1 votes

Fiddlesticks Why? I play him quite a bit. I am amazed at how many fail ULT with Fids. Its like 90% easy.

BakugoBestBoy12/30/2014, 7:31:47 PM1 votes

Teemo Except It's not, "That guy is either going to be awesome, or totally suck!", it's "wow I got queued with some asshole that plays Teemo, he probably is gonna feed and be toxic the entire game"

Xaihady12/30/2014, 8:21:44 PM1 votes

Hmmm.....there're a few. These are speaking only from my own personal experience of course. Nasus is one who always seems to be either a struggling feeder who falls behind early game and never gets up, or a terrifying god. Teemo too. He's really just painful, whether he's doing horribly or wonderfully. Because it's rarely in-between. Blitzcranks either bide their time and land grab after grab, or spend a lot of time running around in the open kidnapping minions and pockets of air and charging in to kidnap more before they get trapped and killed. I always feel skeptical with a Vayne, Mordekaiser, Quinn or Tryndamere in game as well. Oh, and of courseRiven. People who main Riven seem to main her super hardcore and have beautiful mechanics, focus, finesse, and confidence. Otherwise they tend to be 'blegh'.

TheKingDodo12/31/2014, 6:34:50 PM1 votes

LeeSin Either early counter jungle for first blood, manage to gank and counter gank all the lanes, land all skill shots, lee syndrome 100% of the time and manage to live

Or farm 20 minutes, no impact in the game, miss 90% of skillshot, and lee syndrome 50% of the time... then executes 1 insec to win the teamfight

TeemoHunter133712/30/2014, 6:35:16 AM1 votes

for me its a leona.

its either going to be that leona that strikes fear into the enemy with her tankyness and CC or its going to be that 0-5-0 leona who constantly misses ult and E's into 5 people and dies immediately.

and also a riven.

either youre a good riven or a bad riven. either you get first blood and get a double kill when enemy jungler ganks u or u are the 0-11-0 riven that spams spells into enemy without knowing how to really play.

Stephenizgod12/31/2014, 6:49:02 PM1 votes

Pretty much any ADC, they either carry the game 3 shotting everything and everyone or they are feeding terribly and constantly yelling at and blaming everyone else, mostly the Jungler and Support.

Specifically:

Yasuo He is either going to obliterate everyone who comes near him with no chance of counter-play or feed everyone around him because he thinks he can 5v1. The same applies to Zed

MasterYi and Tryndamere are obvious ones.

RekSai Always seems like the enemy Rek is like challenger and my Rek is Wood 5 or something... Either is decimating you in 3 hits or running around in circles shooting the underground Q at nothing.

Mordekaiser Either hardcore feeds or gets extremely overpowered status fed, doesnt seem to be an in between with him...

Vayne Roll into a 5v1 and get focused or roll into a 5v1 and walk away with a penta... seems how this champ usually goes.

Leona Making them plays or dying over and over again for no reason...

I cant think of any others right now.

tau4312/30/2014, 8:21:07 AM1 votes

Katarina LeeSin Varus My main 3. All of the good Katarina seem to be on the other teams. LeeSin is rule of thumb for 50/50. And as a Support/top main, the amount of sucky Varus I've had to attempt to support boggles my mind. When I do get a good one, we win lane so hard we get 4-man ganked on a regular basis.

chuckduck112/30/2014, 8:22:46 AM1 votes

Thresh You're either one of those guys who lands hooks all the time, lanterns the jungler for good ganks, or you're one of those guys who uses their shield to just collect souls, misses hooks all the time and sometimes flays enemies the wrong direction.

Krynge Jaikers12/30/2014, 8:50:28 AM1 votes

Mordekaiser.

SecretAgentHulk12/30/2014, 3:39:12 PM1 votes

Jax Either this person is a god who will be unstoppable post-6, even after giving three kills, and will split-push you to victory, or he hasn't played in eight months and wonders why he keeps dying.

Teemo Either he is unstoppable asshole, or gets eaten alive and shrooms like a Bronze ADC wards.

Spacesuit Spiff12/30/2014, 4:18:17 PM1 votes

Sona /Soraka /Nami Either supports like a god, using all her skills properly to make the carry an enormous pain in the behind... or gets blown up level 1 and goes "wtf I was on facebook don't BM" in allchat. Thresh /Leona Their team: locks you down for days, uses all their utility perfectly. My team: hard engages just as the enemy lane hit level 2/3 before we did. Riven Will either be +10 or -4. A Riven below -4 doesn't usually happen because they're afk by that point. Udyr /Nunu/ Shaco Either makes my jungle a very, very miserable place. Or inexplicably doesn't. Rammus Their Rammus: Unstoppable wrecking ball that ganks every lane and gives zero cares about wards. Our Rammus: "Ganks? Stfu I need stacks for my Devourer what why not build BotRK on Rammus?"
