Boards Idea - Meanwhile in Bot Lane a Riot Roundup (Not a Redpost roundup like from S@20)

One of the many complaints i see a lot of lately is the apparent (or actual) lack of communication between Riot and the player base. We get a (bi?)weekly round up of some of the community creations each week, but many of the often "hottest" posts on the boards appear to be ignored by Riot. While i understand that riot cannot comment on and respond to EVERY SINGLE THREAD THAT GOES HOT, they can do a better job of acknowledging that the posts have at least been seen.

I feel the best way this could be done is that delegates the task of grabbing the hottest posts in a week to someone (or a team) figure out what the core message is of each post (be it a gameplay issue, skins question, bug report, balance issue, item suggestions etc.) and then direct it to the proper team and get a response from them on the issue. Then at the end of each week, a giant post is made addressing each of the issues as a bullet point; with links to the original post, a TL;DR of the original post, the **response from the appropriate team. **

The reason for bolding that last part is because the a very important thing that needs to be included with these responses; it needs to be more than "We are aware players want this and are looking into it." These generic answers are left too open, and there is very often little follow up with what happens with an idea.

A player suggests (as a recent example) to make Veigar's ult size scale with AP. While we know some members of Riot were trying it, we don't know if the idea is still in the works or if it has been scrapped and with the way communication appears to be, we may never know. If a post saying "Sightstone should have some more upgrade options to make it a more viable option for roles other than support and jungle" goes really hot, i want a Riot response saying something to the effect of "We've looked into creating other build-paths for sightstone before, we found that it was hard to find a realistic/reachable price for health + free wards + ad/ap/armor/mr/etc." If they had any prototypes pf these changes made up, they could possibly share them to get feedback from a wider audience.

If possible there should be a way for people to reply to the specific bullet to provide their feedback or stance on what that teams response was (possibly provide a link to each bullet also having a separate thread link.)

While there will end up being (near) duplicates of threads going hot over the course of time, you can then link/quote the original response and then say if there is or isn't an update on it, and if there is; provide it as well as the original so that players know it was readdressed. I understand this would be a fairly massive undertaking and would require redirecting or requiring new resources, but i feel personally the benefits for both Riot and the community would FAR outweigh the cost.

Let me and Riot know what you think of this idea by commenting and upvoting/bumping/liking/sharing the post.

Sincerely, Killed By The Sionce Guy

This is a great idea. Rather than hoping a member of the Riot team you're hoping to reach HAPPENS to come across your post and read it, and then pass it along, it makes it so it someones job to valiantly TRY to get an actual response rather than a "We'll bring it up and then you'll have to wait and see if it ever comes to fruition."

I like this, it gives riot a place to address a lot of issues people are bringing up all in one place, so the players looking for answers to it can be (more) easily reached, as well as providing a post to reference back to as updates come along for anything that is brought up.

Like what Z3kken said, having a semi-universal location for people to see if an issue has been brought up and responded to, as well a place where updates on it can be posted is a fantastic concept that really should be explored.
