Wacom Tablets - Questions to community

I know this is like the most incorrect possible place to ask this, but I also know that a lot of you like to draw and that perhaps you use a Wacom tablet, if so I have some questions for you!

I've started my engineering AutoCAD class this semester and we've been sketching a lot and was wondering what any of you thought about Wacom tablets for sketching. I've never used one or owned one, but I feel like I am above your average student when it comes to sketching (not saying I'm 1337). I have however sketched a lot using Sketchbook on my Android phones and tablets before (using non Wacom digitizers, only the rubber stylus'), so I feel like that is decent enough experience to make the jump.

I am specifically interested in the new Intuos Draw, Art, and Comic tablets. I will be sketching mostly at school using either AutoCAD or Sketchbook on my Windows laptop. Maybe the Draw version wont work for me (no touch screen to zoom, scroll etc), but the other ones seem perfect. 6 x 3.7 inches seems like an Ideal surface area to me (been mocking the SA to test viability, pst, that means surface area).

What do you guys think of your Wacom tablets? Are they good for things like sketching and drawing? What about in possibly AutoCAD and Solid Works?

They're great little thingies, but I'm having a rough time getting used to drawing with it. And I've owned one for a while now.... But if you get the hang of it, like most of my classmates, you should be fine ^^ PS: As far as getting used to it goes, I've drawn with pencil & paper for basically my entire life, and I never used a tool like a wacom tablet before I actually bought the thing. summoner 31
