@Riot: Combatting Team Builder leaves
The whole point of team builder is to build a composition you want, right? But if that composition is kind of experimental, you can wait for a long time while players instaleave because they want to play a game with a typical meta. This is frustrating to no end for captains and solo players who don't mind trying out a captain's experiment. At the same time, queuing in for Team Builder only
My suggestions are roughly thought out, so dismiss them or improve upon them in the comments.
1.)** Separate Team Builder into "experimental" and "standard" metas:** As a captain in standard you are forced to have players queue in as one top, one jungle, one mid, and two bot. What isn't forced is actually taking the lane you queued in for and queuing in as a typical champion for the lane you're queuing in to and maintaining the "standard meta." It isn't enforced just as the meta isn't enforced, but it is recommended. This way, I or anyone can't complain about these absurd wait times if they're queuing into "standard" with an experimental meta or champion role, and players looking to secure their role in a typical game have less of a reason to insta-leave.
2.) Captains get to choose which champion goes into which lane: At the moment Captains are able to select what role they'd like to queue for the lane, which works well if you don't care about the champion but their specific role, but what should also be available is to select the specific champion you're looking for regardless of what role they're queued in for.
3.) **Dodge timer: ** Every other game type has a dodge timer so why doesn't this one? I understand that as it stands if you hop into Solo Find-a-Team you shouldn't have to be forced to play for 30+ minutes in an experimental meta, so leaving the group should be an option. But just like in ARAM, if your team comp is all fucked and no one has any more rerolls.. you gotta deal with that game or dodge and be put on a dodge timer. For Team Builder, it'd be you get a certain number of leaves before you're put into a dodge timer, those leaves can build based on how many games you've joined without leaving, based on experience gained, or just amounts of time that goes by.
Thoughts?
