When looking for a job within a large gaming industry company... advice? :) @Riot

Hey guys!

I am a junior in college and I am looking into prepping my resume and any skills I'll need in the future (GIRLS ONLY LIKE GUYS WITH GOOD SKILLS) to get the right job I want. I have been looking at big gaming companies to see what opportunities they have available - so far I've been eyeing jobs at Riot, Twitch.TV, and ArenaNet.

Here is a little background before I ask any specific questions:

As stated I am a junior in college. My degree is in Business Finance. I am looking into any job related to my degree, directly or indirectly. Positions I am interested in are any finance positions within a company, an account management position (ex: Twitch's Partnership Associate), or any marketing/sales/data analysis position (the data analysis position would probably have to be in line with money or using similar techniques that financial advisers use to analyse numbers). Note: The position I am MOST interested in is twitch's partnership associate.

Now onto the questions:

What do I, as a fresh college graduate with a bachelor's degree, need to know in order to land one of these jobs? -Data analysis/coding languages? (SQL, Python, etc) -Social Media Management?

I want to know now what I can add to my resume that will lead to my success and growth within this industry. :)

If any Rioter's who deal with anything I've listed could comment that would be awesome! Or if anyone just has advice in general, I would love it! I am deeply considering learning SQL and maybe Python, but I do not want to invest in something that will be useless or outdated. I would appreciate in depth, detailed advice - I have heard all the basics, I want the specifics xD

it's unlikely you'll start out by getting a job in the exact line of work of your choosing. i recommend being open about your career right out of college and finding a position that gets you the general skills to get you where your ultimate goal truly is.

You can be as incompetent as they come as long as you can brown nose your way in, this goes for most companies.

As an example, SOE during the making of Planetside 2 decided to grab a ton of interns for future jobs, according to the people they let go off, the place was all about butt sniffing to hide your incompetence, all the nerds who knew what they were doing and had attitudes at work were let go.

Work on your charisma rather than your job skills and you will go places.

The thing is if you learn one language, it probably will become outdated as all languages do, if you learn Computer Science in general you should be able to adapt as languages come and go. Python seems safe at the moment though, I believe it will slowly become more used than java and make java obsolete. Its pretty new and pretty popular, it probably won't become useless for awhile...
